I didn't have an issue with selling either Adams or DCL, it's the piss poor transfer fees we received for them that I have a problem with.

At least the Brooks fee is about the right value for a change.

You esteemed poster says we are guaranteed a "decent amount" I'll also guarantee that we don't spend more than £1.5m on any individual despite CW having a decent wedge at his disposal. We can then look forward to half a dozen Lundstram types plodding around instead of someone who has us on the edge of our seats.

For evidence of this I'll throw a few examples of replacements for previously departed players:

TC/Hamson & Bradford
Beattie/the other Beattie
Maguire/McEveley

Most definitely, but that's a big call these days, for many clubs. IF, the Brooks money is invested in players and promotion ensues, then that's a good thing, and the what iffers will pipe down for a while. Until the next sale, when the sales list will be drawn up again.

The notion that Brooks may not want this move is absurd, more so than the silly valuations being bandied around. Wilder hasn't even commented and he's getting stick.

Who ends up owning the club and how they move us forward is a far bigger worry for me, because I don't see either of them having the funds to do it, without another "partnership".

It was a hypothetical response to Sean's assertion that just because Bournemouth are the only bidder at £12m then the value must be £12m. I was countering by offering if we (the club) valued him higher then we simply don't have to take their bid - akin to how Daniel Levy undertakes his negotiating at Spurs.

At no stage was it to be interpreted as a statistical fact more a philosophical standpoint which the club could/should take - however I feel I've already lost you to a frothing rage...

The only people saying he's worth 20m are a few fans . He played 30 games scored 3 goals 4 assists and was quiet in half of his games . Which we lost. 12m is good business in our circumstances. We don't have billionaire owners or prem tv money.
Wilder has to assess his options . It's his squad money to get VFM and try and make us contenders

Point noted. We can easily compare the experience the players have, goals scored and the difference they made to their respective teams. I would argue City probably needed Reid more than United needed Brooks.
