Here we go...and what agenda driven cliche is that you one trick ponyWell no, because if your agenda-driven cliché is right, he’ll be resigning soon, won’t he?
He's the Bladey, Bladey one trick pony who slagged the board relentlessly for appointing Wilder and he has the temerity to say our supporters have a deep understanding of f all...you couldn't make it up could you?Ah yes, because you're so intellectually superior aren't you?
Apparently Wilder has the same agent (unconfirmed just what I heard).
But with regards to Adams and DCL, do you feel we would have won the league by holding onto them? Not a fucking chance.
I wasn`t criticising the sales of Adams & Calvert-Lewin, just hoping this time Wilder gets more to spend.
I'll answer it. That's the stock excuse we get every time the club sell someone of any value.
You esteemed poster says we are guaranteed a "decent amount" I'll also guarantee that we don't spend more than £1.5m on any individual despite CW having a decent wedge at his disposal. We can then look forward to half a dozen Lundstram types plodding around instead of someone who has us on the edge of our seats.
For evidence of this I'll throw a few examples of replacements for previously departed players:
Mick Jones/Mick Hill
TC/Hamson & Bradford
Beattie/the other Beattie
Maguire/McEveley
Piss poor compared to who?I didn't have an issue with selling either Adams or DCL, it's the piss poor transfer fees we received for them that I have a problem with.
At least the Brooks fee is about the right value for a change.
We’ve just got to face it the powers what be are happy if we are a mid table championship side.
Anybody on here who advocates the selling of Brooks, well what can you say
Piss poor compared to who?
Adams in and out of a poor-ish Birmingham and DCL seemingly the only central forward available for a poor (admittedly PL!) Everton
and neither of the two certain starters for us![]()
Very true personally I dont expect nothing else Sean, but I cut my teeth on the Blades being a mid table Division 1 club surely we could aim for that.Weren't they happy being a mid table league 1 club a short while ago?

Might be a slight delay if he needs to declare nationality on any paperwork![]()
The only people saying he's worth 20m are a few fans . He played 30 games scored 3 goals 4 assists and was quiet in half of his games . Which we lost. 12m is good business in our circumstances. We don't have billionaire owners or prem tv money.Fuck me - are you the blob?
It was a hypothetical response to Sean's assertion that just because Bournemouth are the only bidder at £12m then the value must be £12m. I was countering by offering if we (the club) valued him higher then we simply don't have to take their bid - akin to how Daniel Levy undertakes his negotiating at Spurs.
At no stage was it to be interpreted as a statistical fact more a philosophical standpoint which the club could/should take - however I feel I've already lost you to a frothing rage...
Does that mean that Madine is available? We could use some of our Brooks cashCardiff have just signed 19-goal Bobby Reid from Brizzle City for around £9-10million (sources differ).
If we're comparing prices, that makes the Brooks deal look very good indeed.

Added a vital fact to that. If Reid's contract ran until 2021 as Brooks' does, he'd have gone for more.
I'll try and do it tomorrow. Out this evening.
Point noted. We can easily compare the experience the players have, goals scored and the difference they made to their respective teams. I would argue City probably needed Reid more than United needed Brooks.

With Flint and Reid gone and their form in the last four month of 2017/18 even worse than ours, next season could be a long one for Bristol City.
Don't confuse me by asking questions when I think we're in agreementYet again HB, where were the larger bids on those two?

I was just wondering why Yes Blade thought the transfer fees were 'piss-poor'
