So you reckon sending a full stand out one end due to @500 away fans is right? The reason for the sanctions is SYP fucking up in the Derby game. After the game, Plod were crowing about their strategy, both United and Wednesday fans complained and the result is SYP closing ranks and passing the buck.

Tony,

Slightly misleading.
The SYP promised to have an enquiry into the policing of the Derby game. They admitted that they wanted to learn lessons.
An independent report was written and SAG wanted to discuss the findings with SWFC.
SAG have reported that SWFC simply ignored their requests to set up a meeting to focus on safety.
So SAG rightly took the most draconian extreme option but also the safest option by keeping SW fans well away from the away end.
It seems instead of having discussions to resolve the situation SWFC have taken legal action and a court date is set for December 19.
SAG had an arrangement to direct an extra 5000 on to Penistone Road with 1 lane closed.
SW fans complained and wrote to whoever would listen that directing 15,000 on to Penistone Road was dangerous and a road accident waiting to happen.
SAG were backed into a corner and had no choice but to take action.
The only option was to make Hillsboro even more safe by closing roads, so the risk of pedestrians being injured was virtually nil.

The originator of the problem seems to be Chansiri who refused to discuss something as important aa stadium safety.
Would imagine SAG will have email records and Chansiri might be warned about the importance if stadium safety.

The recent “over the top” road closures have been caused by SW fans writing to councillors, SAG members stressing how Hillsboro is so unsafe.
Hence why SAG felt like addressing their concerns by closing most of the roads in the area.

I’m sure common sense will prevail but it does seem strange that Chansiri appears to ignore emails.
Even the Tram Company state’s that they also tried to hold a meeting with SWFC but their request fell on deaf ears, so they suspended the service to S6 during the
Sheff Wed v Leeds match. It raises the question whether Chansiri has too much to do and doesn’t delegate. Wasn‘t Katrien Mare the recent Chief Executive and was released last season. Dont think there’s been any replacement. Why?

The “independent” report was requested by SYP to a former policeman from Manchester Metropolitan University. The report was compiled following an undercover operation that the club wasn’t notified of at the remaining most high profile match of the season. The report stated Leppings Lane has a specific holding area and that further assessment was required. SYP and SAG implemented the system without any hesitation days before the start of the season. The system is still in place even when away fans bring 2 coaches, yet they funnel the entire North Stand out of the one exit.
SYP/ SAG imply there is an access issue around Leppings Lane, if so why double stack coaches and limit the space even further?
As a local of the area how would you suggest a Wednesday supporter access the tram or finds his way home up the Middlewod Road side of the ground?
How many footballl grounds are there in England where home and away fans don’t come into contact around the ground?
SYP allow football fans to merge around Bramhall Lane and at recently built Toytown they access/egress across the same bridge. Why aren’t restrictions held in any other ground throughout South Yorkshire ? Is the same duty of care not required for Sheffield United fans?
I have attended Hillsborough many times in over 40 years and not once have I ever felt unsafe there.
There is an agenda against Hillsborough plain and simple.

Looks like this agenda came 30 years too late then.

They might have an agenda, but that also might be to do with your chairman being a dick.

As for BTDBL, there have been changes with how away fans are dealt with, I expect the club have been involved in the decision making process. As for mixing of fans around the stadium, the Bramall Lane are itself is a lot more open than Hillsborough with no bottle necks etc. The only issue once in a while might be home fans crossing BL to get back to London Road whilst away fans are on their way to the station. After about 5 mins there's no issue.

Basically, it's SAFER.

Is the area they have closed essentially a bottle neck? If so then that is why they are doing it. You don’t get any bottle neck situations at the Lane, straight out onto Bramall Lane (Which is closed to vehicles) and away you go.

I doubt fans mixing is that much of a problem unless you play us, Leeds etc. The only time it is a problem for us, is when we play you, Leeds or Millwall and then the Police put their walls up around the ground so fans can’t mix. I think they tried the walls at the last derby at your place and that just resulted in a bottle neck situation.

I don’t think anyone has got it in for your club like you think, I just think the conclusion is that the Leppings Lane end is seen as a potential area for trouble and they’ve tried to separate fans but that made it worse. So they’ve took the action of stopping home fans leaving that side.

And why might that be?

30 years too late and 96 people had to lose their lives in the process, but maybe the previous cosy collusion over dodgy safety certificates might not now be seen as a 'bad' thing?

SYP took all the flack and of course I'm sure you will explain how your club and the Council were completely blameless in all of this.

Oh, and Bert McGees letter to the FA asking for compo. It's on a par with the NCB getting money from the Aberfan disaster appeal, to rebuild the pit tip.

Another one, 11:21pm on a Tuesday night and he's on S24SU.com/forum. I'm guessing he didn't post using his right hand as he'll probably have been 5 tugs deep by that time of night.

I find it rather sad that someone spends their Saturday afternoon watching their bitterest rivals when they could be doing literally anything else. I can only presume our porcine "friend" has exhausted the entire delights that online pornography has to offer, has wanked himself flat, and was taking a breather before grabbing his mum's Grattan catalogue and seeing how many of the pages he could stick together.

She's taken the kids hasn't she Tony? And you're not allowed to see them?

It's a bit like Stockholm Syndrome where the hostage is so dominated by the captor that they begin to develop an emotional attachment to them. TKT and The Lodger are in a pretty dark place at the moment and the only place of safety they can find is to be as close to the source of their pain as possible.

The one treatment I would recommend for both of them is watching a continuous loop of "War Of The Monster Trucks".

Danny Mills is waging a one man war against us.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he still hasn't forgiven us for knocking Leeds out of both cups in 2003 😂 😂 😂

Bang on. That fan who confronted him on the pitch has seemingly left a psychological scar.

With his Norwich link too it must be eating away at him.

That said I think he's a bang average pundit in general.

'Underlapping centre halves.' Fool.
