Anyone surprised he's never wanted to leave? 2 seasons on bench and probably third choice now just at his age you'd think he'd want games..o_O

He's never really put a foot wrong, steady player and I'd be a bit miffed if I was him. He's probably thinking 'I can challenge Enda, do we really need Marvin Johnson?'.

He can also strike a ball as well. Always liked him but think he has to move on if he has any international ambitions.

Not going to lie, didn’t think he was good enough 2 years ago, but played in a great team at that level. He should count himself lucky he’s been in a Championship wage as a League 1/2 footballer! Wouldn’t be too annoyed if I were him....

Good option to bring on if we're looking to close a game out and the opposition is looking threatening down our left.

But he gets very little game time and would expect him to move on sooner rather than later.

Feel like that's a little harsh on the lad. Not put a foot wrong for us and looked a decent player in our promotion season, not really had a chance in the championship and when he has he has come in and done a job where ever we needed him including coming on to see games out in midfield etc. Quite like the lad and wish he had been given more of a chance to prove himself last season. Think he could do a job for another championship club just think we have moved on super quickly in the championship and simply outgrown him and as people have mentioned he is now 3rd choice so isn't going to get a look in now but there was times last season i think he deserved a chance.

As others have said we’ve got 2 better players in that position. However he played a big part in the best season I’ve personally seen as a blade in getting us out of league one

That strike at Rochdale sticks in the memory

And what a strike that was still remember it to this day ball come to him and he stuck it as sweet as a nut. As I mentioned in a earlier post, I can see him doing a job for another championship club and hope he does. Played big part in the promotion season and then for what ever reason didn't get a luck in, but I trust wilder so if he wasn't good enough fair enough but think that's probably down to how much we grew in space of a year or so.

Doesn't seem to do anything wrong when he comes on, certainly improved us away at Preston last season (though the game itself was crap), and (to me at least) seems like more of a goal threat than Enda. If the lad is happy being a squad player then good luck to him. When you think of some of the players we have had to put up with in recent years, I won't begrudge a hard worker wanting to stay around.

Think he's a good option in midfield too, like away at Leicester last season. Not a bad player to come on to see a game out, and as you say, has a good shot on him.

A better straight replacement for Stevens still too, Johnson is more the wing than the back.

Never really let us down & probably been unlucky not to get more of a chance, but he played a big part in the League One Championship season so he deserves a lot of respect for that. Fair play to the lad , he has stuck it out , seen players brought in in front of him and never grumbled or complained.
