Ings and Redmond were absolute quality a few years ago if they look good in training why not we need some experience

Same thing we're doing with Ben Mee, assess in training with a view to a potential contract.

Not sure about how much we'd expect Redmond to play but it's not like we'll be starting Ings so he won't be playing a lot, maybe just 20-30 mins per game?

Might be wrong here, but as they are free agents (from the end of last season) they can be signed post August, whereas if they were released after the transfer window closed they wouldn't have been able to play til January.

Ings wages will be similar to Brownhills. So you’ve got 2 signing on fees plus Redmonds wage to throw at him. All trivial anyway as Brownhill probs ends up in the MLS. I just don’t think these 2 are a good use of limited funds.

I'm not buying that his wages are going to be similar. Brownhill is asking for near 10m in signing on fees. These 2 aren't in the same planet for overall cost they just aren't.

Then factor in a cost per potential appearance given Redmonds managed about 20mins in 2 years.
