Imagine paying for a Patreon for a guy who can't even come up with Ingscoming
He wouldn’t be on loan though? Thought he was a free agent ?Ings has been fit, he's just no good at playing. As a loan striker.
Yeah but not a way we can afford itIt was £10m now it’s £15m… but there are ways that can be structured.
I suppose one upside is that you wonder what Redmond could potentially do for Brooks.Redmond is only 31
the joys of autocorrectHe wouldn’t be on loan though? Thought he was a free agent ?
Shame we don’t cross itA fox in the box
Autocorrect is the go to excuse for a lack of proof readingthe joys of autocorrect
How do you know what we’ve offered to pay Ings? It’s absolutely irrelevant what he’s earned in the past, we won’t be paying anywhere near that. If he wants to play and he’s ok with the terms offered by us then why not?Ings wages will be similar to Brownhills. So you’ve got 2 signing on fees plus Redmonds wage to throw at him. All trivial anyway as Brownhill probs ends up in the MLS. I just don’t think these 2 are a good use of limited funds.
If we flip the narrative a bit, didn’t we think this about Mcgoldrick…trying to be positive. This how low we've sunk? if we sign them going to be a long hard season. not for those 2 they'll be picking up a good wage to sit on a comfy treatment table
Can’t let this go without comment.I suppose one upside is that you wonder what Redmond could potentially do for Brooks.
I like Brooks as a RW (you can see he's got the potential to be a good RW) but there are parts of his game that he needs to work on, decision making being the main one.
Having someone like Redmond to help him should be hugely beneficial to him, both short term and long term.
Brooks has good level dribbling but not much elseCan’t let this go without comment.
I believe he’s had one good game for United.
Lacks the decision making, Pace, Strength, skill And intelligence to make a name for himself in the game.
If United had bought him from somewhere else he’d be getting pelters every week.
He is at best a bench warmer to come on when games are won and the proper players need a rest.
Him, and to some degree Seriki are part of the problem at the moment, and neither should be starting a game for a team with the alleged ambition we have.
Would you prefer Ollie Watkins instead? This how low we've sunk? if we sign them going to be a long hard season. not for those 2 they'll be picking up a good wage to sit on a comfy treatment table
Hes out of his depth at this levelBrooks has good level dribbling but not much else
If you mean dribbling in the sense of running with the ball…I’d suggest that it was good in the way they might do dribbling unopposed around cones in training.Brooks has good level dribbling but not much else
That's just not true is it. ?If you mean dribbling in the sense of running with the ball…I’d suggest that it was good in the way they might do dribbling unopposed around cones in training.
The minute he’s got a player to beat he’s done.
Not my idea of a winger.
No he's not - he's just not consistent enoughHes out of his depth at this level
I don’t, just like no one else knows exactly what Brownhill earns/wants either, but I can say with confidence Ings won’t be cheap…How do you know what we’ve offered to pay Ings? It’s absolutely irrelevant what he’s earned in the past, we won’t be paying anywhere near that. If he wants to play and he’s ok with the terms offered by us then why not?
Billy Sharp scored 23 goals as a 33 year old when we went up from this level in 2019.Ings has played 15+ games in the Premier league for the past 11 years.
33 isn't old for someone that never relied on pace anyway.
I don't see how this won't be a good addition to the squad. I think ings would see us as a good challenge to come in and get goals once again towards the end of his career - I would image he would be "motivated"
