Just don't see this happening. A step too far for us financially.

....unless the new owners splash the cash in January
 
Danny ings used to be phenomenal, not sure i’d want him now though.

I thought so too and immediately laughed it off.

But the way we're throwing money around like the Rak-Sakyi signing on fee and incentives and rumors of takeover being finally almost completed.. maybe the new perspective owners are signing off on giving it a real go 🤷‍♂️

im sure thats exactly whats happening think we were linked with ings last season personally think he would score plenty at championship level but we do need a striker like him to come in suppose it depends whos available

I’d agree, was worried Osula leaving was cash flow to fund incoming and no shirt sponsor could be bad news. But coming round to thinking compromise is no betting logo on shirt leaves door open for after tekkova is rubber stamped.

I agree he would do a job for sure, just think we don't YET have the money.

Obviously we are offering all of these players more money and incentives than the other clubs so how does this stack up financially for the next 3 years? Without a takeover it could be 2 seasons of high spending and then we reign it in for the 3rd year if we don't get promoted?

£39m spending cap over any 3 year period is it?

Even if our new owners are minted, we still can't spend more than we are allowed to.
 
Obviously age can be an issue but if they keep themselves fit why not? Some on here find we are interested in a player, find his age to be 35 and it's no, far too old, it's like we are bringing in Ronaldo and Messi for one season it'd be what? Have you seen how old they are? Big no from me,yes but they are fit and still up there ,sorry that's irrelevant, far,far too old, get a 20 year old in from Mansfields reserve much better

If we actually brought in Ronaldo or Messi for a season, yeah I'd be on board. However, the issue with Ings isn't just that he's old. It's that he's:

A: Injury prone (I know injury prone players have been commonplace at Shirecliffe in recent years, but it's about time we broke that habit);
B: Old (which makes it more likely that any injuries he were to pick up would either be longer lasting, or permanent, and we'd be without a player anyway);
C: On enormous wages

So many red flags with this lad, it's as if the entire Formula 1 calendar has come to a halt.

Waste of time for me. Let's try and find someone who'll be available to play more than Prince Philip

Can't see this happening personally as it doesn't suit what the new owners say they want from a transfer strategy. They want players who can be developed and sold on for profits. We won't get anything for Ings by the end of next season when he's 33.
