You’d swap our Academy for Wednesday’s would you?

I'll call it now re: the Pigs.

They've started off with this never say die attitude. A fightback at Wrexham. A PL scalp last night.
The fact is they have about 15 pros and their academy has always been shit... They'll get some results in these early defiant weeks, but ultimately they have absolutely zero depth to their squad and will sink like a stone come the end of September.
There is absolutely no way they won't be relegated

I can’t believe Blades fans think we’re above signing a 33 year old Danny Ings. Some of the weird suggestions on rumour mill yet some turning their nose up at an experienced goal scorer.

I’m happy with this signing, think he’ll do a good job.
We shouldn't be signing 21yo Cannon's. But we're happy with 21yo Zatterstom.

We shouldn't be signing 33yo Ings'. But we're happy with 35yo old Mee.

I'm a bit lost as to what we should be targeting TBH.

I'd assume this to be the case too. That's the difference at the moment though, they actually have some leaders in the squad. Can't stand the bloke but at least Bannan has a bit of grit - who in our squad would you say matches his level of tenacity, and actually gives a toss about the club like he does? Robbo was maybe the only one, but his mind is now elsewhere and he was still error prone.

Chansiri, for all his faults, does seem to get it right with managers lately. Early days but Pedersen ain't looking too bad. Typical spawny bastards.

just moan about every move the club make/dont make then you will understand how it goes

This the Ings that was playing prem football last season?

Yeah I'll take him, thanks.

The problem isn't the signing, it's that it's taken us this long to realise we need signings like this.
Agree with this but it looks like a Wilder signing(who would have got the best out of him). However, not sure that Selles likes a big target man and this is not the way he has set up the team or has them playing.

Struggling to find any negatives in this signing. JUST 33, bags of experience, bit of a hard case and will lead the line well. 1 year contract is spot on. Potential upgrade on Moore.

Hope Ings and Campbell really hit it off.

We just need a fckin identity and game plan that works now 🙏

think exactly the same they are showing some grit despite all the adversity but i also still think they will get relegated injuries will start kicking in eventually didnt see their game saturday but been told wrexham looked a very poor side and think swansea will beat em this weekend

Just like he got the best out of Ravel Morrison and Jack Rodwell?
Tbf, we probably got the best out of Ravel Morrison. When's he ever done owt better than his few games for us? 😅

Good signing, proven prem goal scorer, bags of experience, can only be a good thing.

There was some right shite playing prem football last year to be fair. Brewster, McBurnie, etc

He's not even 6 ft high so he's definitely not a target man. He's more a Sharp type player who will score.

Make him captain straight away - this team needs leadership and experience.

No slight on him but if he isn't given chances he won't score.

Context is everything here. Had Cannon been bought for his rough value (£2-3m, or around what we've paid for Zätterström) I don't think there would be the derision that currently exists. He also represented our full transfer budget in January and meant that we couldn't properly solve the critical problems in defence.

Anyone doubting either signing needs to give their head a wobble.
