It was his agent Rob Segal who said "Devlin bleeds blue" in a plea to the fans through the Star around the time Devlin gifted two goals to Watford in October 2001. I was furious with him because it was well known that Devlin and his family were big Celtic fans and they used to go to the home games at Parkhead by coach from West Midlands. Typical of troublesome football agents lying through their teeth!

Rob Segal sounds a right cunt

So where is this on" Danes" twitter account

Anyone notice a certain outspoken poster missing from here, I wonder why?

Is it...

a) it's a "positive" thread when almost every Blade has given the OP a like.
b) he's been sat in the fireside armchair all weekend
c) he's no idea who Dane Whitehouse is
d) he's a ......... (fill in your adjective of choice)
e) ALL OF THE ABOVE.

I was there too. 2-1 win.
When Bloomfield Road was like walking into Beirut High Street.
Dilapidated stand and the standing area was derelict.
Character yes, charm, perhaps. Not somewhere to impress a possible wife!
Yet everyone went there for their stag night ... ironic ?

Dane Whitehouse was that rarest of creatures, a player who played for the club he loved and grew up supporting, and was a true one club man. He wasn't a player in the truest sense of the word, as a player is more of a mecenary going wherever the money takes him, Dane Whitehouse was a supporters playing for the club. We was lucky to be blessed with a couple of others players of a similar ilk, Carl Bradshaw and Mitch Ward at the same time, i remember once reading that the other players at the club at the time nicknamed them the three amigos, because if you wronged one, you would have three of them on your back. Do we have anyone like that now?

The fact is that those words have come from Dane Whitehouse, a Sheffield United icon should have some serious gravity about them with the powers that be at the Lane, it is not just a case of a disgruntled supporters, but an iconic figure who usually stays relatively quiet, having his say, albeit via Social Media, and the powers that be should take heed from those wise words, as they have hit the nail firmly and squarely on the head.

You're bang on the money BUT you know as well as I do those cunts at the Lane won't take one iota of notice - I sincerely hope someone gets this to the club.

The comments made by Dane Whitehouse will not go unnoticed within the club at board level . I am sure that this will be passed on to Kevin McCabe by one of his sons . Not many players thoughts / comments carry much clout ( rightly so ) , but ex players Whitehouse and Montgomery do have respect from the man at the top .

The players in today's squad are really not fit to wear the shirt and the serious gravity of this , is they will be on there way in the summer . With regards Adkins - the bloke has either had his hands tied ,( but not covered himself in glory ) OR he ain't up to the job .

The McCabes have a big decision to make at the end of this season , and to be honest , I am starting to have my doubts about Adkins for moving us forward , as Whitehouse comments also bring the manager into the equation.

Ah you may have fell into a little trap or I could be missing something from not reading certain posters enough or yawning when I get to them. He is on here now though and this thread is something he will not be able to get his head around because it causes a catch 22. You know when one of those Robots short circuits in sci fi programs because the logic is too obvious to work out?

We've had a few recently unlike dane
they went for the money (Walker,Lowton & jakielka). At this present time we have quite a few who could make the grade, unless we get out of this division we could lose them the same way.The club always takes the rap (McCabe). money talks when clubs come in from an higher division.Even born and bred blades ( Walker) get there heads turned. Will history repeat itself or will we be able to keep them

It isn't, it's his Facebook account. (I can't see it on there either but that's presumably because he's got his account set to private)

He came up as the first one when I searched him but he does have 8 mutual friends so maybe thats why. It is him anyway if anyone is doubting it

The beauty of your original post, which I must say, is exemplary in the fact that you mentioned no specific name, but left that task for us all to deduce. By scanning thru' the thread, which took all of five seconds as I had a clue from the trap you set, I deduced that the character you were alluding to in your original post, was in fact ......by not mentioning a name, that too may draw out (perhaps) the character who I think you were referring to. That would show a possible element of paranoia on their behalf, but as the saying goes "Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean to say they're NOT watching (referring to) you" ...

In conclusion to your post, I made my conclusion by deducing your question.

Your question is worthy of being a candidate for winning the Nobel Prize For Scientific Deductions in 2016.

Let's wait stealthily and see if your logic proves to be correct.

Salute!! Professor boo radley

Im sure Dane going into a tackle would go in saying take that , twat , emphasising the comma

Bassett was very keen on correct punctuation in the zone,
Wilf Rostrum was in charge of full stops
I thought it was Jock?

Whatever title they have, I doubt either is actually "running" the club. Keeping an eye on things yes, but not making the big decisions as I'd suggest the owners will be doing that themselves these days.

Not necessarily good news I'll admit.

Legend, I was a mascot in 92 and he was unable to sign my souvenir ball as he had to shoot off for a family emergency straight after the game, I remember seeing him outside the lane when I was going into the blades shop with my dad about 2 or 3 months later and he actually came up to me and asked if I had the ball on me for him to sign. Told me to take it to the commercial office before the next game and he'd sign it for me, top bloke with no edge or self importance evident in the slightest & genuinely happy to be a footballer.

Does he still attend all the away games? Bumped into him dozens of times post his retirement, he's normally battered, probably explains the punctuation!

He was at Old Trafford in with the Blades.

Times have changed - I'm not disrespecting Whitehouse's loyalty, but just about nobody would turn down the sort of money players can earn with a big move these days. In today's football culture and crazy finances, I doubt Whitehouse would be any different.
