Crowds allowed into grounds in October..

...but would you pay for a season ticket (for say £300-£450 to see say like 5 or 6 games and the rest on TV? You can find streams for free albeit not official!

Said it before no point selling season tickets at all until we are close to full capacity. I think it would be a bit of a rip off to pay for a season ticket for close to full whack and only see a small amount of games and the rest on TV.

Any TV games fans should be able to buy either individually or for the season for a set price and be separate to going to any games. Watching on TV is nowhere near the same as being in person and prices/season tickets should not be based on this being part of I feel. I am concerned the PL/clubs will see this a way of recouping lost costs.

Be better selling batches of games in packages in terms of attending and allowing every ST holder and member from last year to buy....up to 30k fans.

Each fan can be in a group of family members up to a certain amount so not to be separated. Then divvy up the games so we all get to see 4 games each (approx 16 games if mid October)...hopefully spread out with groups of games as suggested on here. So we all get at least one of the big 6 games and 3 others...you'd group them so Man Utd, City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arse and Chelsea.

Not perfect but then everyone will get to see like a game a month. We can pay a set price for the group of games...ideally it should be free for those who did not take up the refund.

Whatever they do I feel for next season when ST go on sale properly for full crowds those from 19-20 should be able to renew seats/tickets they had. Someone who is vulnerable/older who for health reasons may not want to go at current time but if things improve generally with the virus they may want to return. I would not want those fans frozen out if ST were sold now.

I still feel October is ambitious in terms of fans going back even for the reduced numbers. I think Schools going back and things opening up more will see it going one of two ways by the end of next month. Hopefully we can start to get back but any significant rise in cases and attendance at sporting events will be taken completely off the table till probably well unto 2021 maybe the following season.

That's a long post going off very little information 😂

SNIP!

Yes, and I wont be the only one

Would you pay £350-400 for just 4 games to attend in person and the rest of the home games (say 12 of which probably 3 or 4 will be on Sky, BT Amazon anyway) on a club run TV package of games ?! I'd be surprised if many would do that. I might be wrong. Maybe they would as people pay subscriptions for other TV subscriptions but I think when there are 'allegedly' hundreds of sites where you can watch every EPL game for free 🤫 it would be a hard sell.

I am speculating and we don't know what would happen but do think it would be wrong for the club to sell a season ticket for normal season ticket prices based on most of the games being viewed on TV.

For that package of only 4 home games to attend in person plus the rest of home games and all the away games to watch on tv? Yes.

In fact looking at that more closely, if we said there were 24000 ST holders from last season, and they are each owed 4 games. Capacity is capped at 8k until we dont know. Split the 24k into 3 groups (A, B, C). This is how fixtures would work:
Sep
Wolves - no one can go
Leeds - " "

Oct
Fulham - group A
City - B
West Ham - C

Nov
Lei - A
Man U - B
Everton - C

dec
Newc -A
Spurs B

Jan
WBA - C
Chelsea A
LPool - B

Feb
Ston - C
Villa - first game that's available (Unless capacity is increased!) - there's only four other home matches after this!

(Yes it is a slow work day and i've got time on my hands!)
How about ACAB

For that package of only 4 home games to attend in person plus the rest of home games and all the away games to watch on tv? Yes.

I already pay for Sky and I know someone with BT, so why would I pay United when I’ll be able to watch all our TV matches anyway?

Add in the matches I’m owed from last season, if season ticket holders are only allowed to attend a few matches, I shouldn’t need to pay United a penny until the Lane is back to full capacity.

Forb that package of only 4 home games to attend in person plus the rest of home games and all the away games to watch on tv? Yes.

...but the 4 games they essentially owe us for last season so in affect should be free and the rest you cant attend you can watch for free easily on 100s of ahem....unofficial sites.

Yet you'd still pay £350- £400 for in affect a TV season ticket? 😳 I get the money would go to the club but having just brought in 150 million not sure they are in their arse to give them money for something we can get for free. A fair few will be on SKY/BT/Prime too.

It's all speculation anyway but my point is I hope the club don't try and rope us into a match/TV season ticket. I'll gladly buy/pay for a group of games I can see in person but other games I could pop down quite a few pubs and watch even when not on Sky etc or find quite easily for nowt. Just hope it is kept seperate.

Until the lockdown, I went to all the games during the 2019-20 season and it cost me more than £400 in tickets and travel etc. We will find out soon on whether there will be season tickets or an alternative on sale and then all season ticket holders will make their choices

So we dot all complain we‘re skint and can’t buy players. It’s a business not a charity.

It depends on the circumstances, if United asked season ticket holders to buy our tickets as usual this year and then that credit could be used against future season tickets I would be fine with that. But I wouldn’t be happy if I was paying twice to watch the match on TV (paying both United and Sky).

Anyway, the club clearly aren’t skint.

Was told today by someone very itk at a league 2 club that they are definitely having 30% of fans from the 2nd weekend in October.

I'm a West Sussex exile since 94, only get to a handful of games a season.
I was there!

I'm still having therapy, as for crowds back in stadia I think it will be a logistical nightmare for clubs as all fans will feel entitled to go.

Agree with that, but as long as SUFC find a fair and transparent method to allocate the reduced capacity allocation ......

I would find it acceptable, and the rest of the games being on the Box would help this

I could not agree more Worksop.

England v Barbarians on 25th October looking at 20,000 attendance in 82,000 capacity.

In line with approx 25% talked about initially for football too.

Let’s get this ball rolling!

I still think there’s going to be issues because in recent weeks for some illogical reason deaths, hospitalisations, illness statistics have become irrelevant regards this virus. Now the focus is on positive test cases. The government want everyone tested but want the results to be zero.

Obviously if there’s an effort to test as many people as possible....then surely the rate will increase and this will be classed as the second wave.
Its almost like the emperors new clothes with all media outlet’s and politicians jumping on the doom and gloom “the end of the world is nigh” band wagon.
One day someone is going to notice that the Nightingales wards are empty and practically no one is dying...there’s currently no drain on the NHS.
Over the last 3 days the death rate has been 1, 2 and 3.....that’s 2 people day currently dying of covid in a population of 65 million.
Hopefully confidence and attitudes will improve once the schools return.

Fans may be allowed to attend Arsenal's home Premier League fixture against Sheffield United on 3 October.

Just read on the BBC sport website. Asenhole v The Blades 3rd October fans might be allowed.
Good will away fans be allowed in. probably not though.

I doubt any away fans will be allowed this season, maybe 2021/2022 season away fans might be back.

Yeah over 300 people die each day of cancer they can't get in for their treatment hardly anyone dying of covid something wrong somewhere
