I remember that well - Akinbiyi bursting through, lining up his shot from around 12 yards and being wrestled to the ground by a defender. And it took some wrestling to get Ade "built like a brick shithouse" Akinbiyi to the ground.

Akinbiyi received some criticism at the time for trying to stay on his feet rather than trying to win the penalty.

anybody know why miller couldnt get in crewes first team. in league two.

I believe he got injured after a very good start and then couldn't get back in the team - just a few sub appearances - because of that lad they sold to Man U scoring a shed full. He then came to the end of his contract and we paid the dink for him to come to BDTBL. As I understand it Miller was on the radar for DW for some time before.
