Whatever happens, individual businesses (eg football clubs) will be within their right to "require" a customer to have a test or a vaccine. After all, nobody gives a fuck about Sander Berges freedom & human rights. If he doesn't have a test he doesn't play. End. Of. But, as pointed out above, policing a requirement for a supporter to have a test or vaccine will be very very difficult. To the point of not worth the bother in my view. In high jeopardy businesses like insurance & mortgages, it will surely become the norm to ask whether you've been vaccinated. If you have, and say you have, and produce the paperwork, you'll obviously pay much lower travel, life & indemnity insurance premiums. If you simply lie, you run the risk of the insurance being invalid & not paying out. Once the real issues hit home about whether or not you've had the vaccine & the lifestyle cost, then the "I'm not having it crowd" will have choices to make.
Up The Science (& The Actuaries of course).

Excellent, enjoy being confined to barracks whilst the rest of us are allowed out 👍
Yeh, go out to but trousers with 3 leg holes and glow in the dark skin suppressant
Same here, let them test their vaccines on the young uns.
I do actually think we should test vaccine ont oldies like me, if it goes wrong at least we know it saved some young uns life being cut prematurely short. Also we oldies know the young uns would really appreciate our sacrifice while they sat watching reality tv, youtube clips of cats and playing a video game.

We wouldn't be having this second wave if the students and young uns weren't shagging about so much ................................... lucky bastards.

I dont really see how this could be implemented without giving access to every bodies medical records to either SUFC or the Premier league or some other commercial entity. How are they going to check otherwise? Will they have an actual person checking your QR codes or would it be automated? Whos going to pay for all the extra security staff checking. Whats to stop me looking at someones app and then just making a dummy copy of it that links to a webpage that mirrors the page that confirms I've had a vaccine and just showing that to the steward.

Basically I think the logistics of this is beyond what SUFC / the Premier League are capable of and also opens up so many privacy issues and GDPR issues. The only way I could see it working is if we have something like what the Chinese are touting which is basically tagging, identifying and storing information on everyone on earth and everyone waving all of their privacy rights.
That's what the bstrds are intent on doing

Why after 64 years of good health 50 years of watching united would I want a vaccine pumped into me after a few months testing so I can carry on doing the things I've been doing for the previous 50 years if anyone wants the vaccine good luck to them but it shouldn't be a requirement to get in a football stadium after all if you've had the vaccine I can't give you covid

No worries. But I was clumsily pointing out that choices have consequences. If you choose to smoke. Your insurance company will ask you. Because that decreases your health chances. And you will pay higher premiums or get reduced cover. Similarly, in the future, you (and all of us) will be asked about vaccination when accessing insurance & mortgages & other finance. If you're not vaccinated, the number will show you have decreased health chances & your premium, interest rate, etc will all cost you more. That's not restricting your freedoms. That's got nothing to do with the Government. That's HSBC running their business. That's Maths. You can happily choose not to have the vaccine. But, longer term there'll correctly be a cost consequence for that choice.

Insurance companies don’t need an excuse to up premiums, they’ll do it regardless if they want to.

How does anyone know what this vaccine is going to do to anyone long-term I don't believe the government or the science up the common sense

Mate. I'm not pushing the vaccine. I'm explaining the potential costs of the consequence of not having it. The Banks will believe. Because the Governments believe. So the Banks will charge more for non vaccinated customers. That's how they make money.

I know what you are saying it's not only the banks it's the airlines the cinemas travel hotels everything we will need a covid passport to live a normal life it's 100%wrong immoral and takes away any rights about your own wellbeing I respect your opinion but we should fight this all the way

Just imagine if it’s mandatory to have a COVID “passport” as a prerequisite to getting your season ticket back.

6 months ago people were taking of banning 65 plus supporters from going out let alone to a game.

Now likelihood is the silver foxes will be first back int ground as we get vaccine first 🤣 🤣
To be fair a ambling down to the pub for a solitary pint and a meal, watch us turgidly lose, no booing because oldens have seen it all before, might be the best crowd for us at the minute

So if you get an infectious possibly fatal disease you think it's fine to go out in public and possibly infect others.

My life would be intolerable without the vaccine. I'm openly adopting a selfish position. Airlines. National Borders. Insurance. Mortgages. Things that are easy to police. Things I'll need. Many of those will require a Vaccination Certificate. I can't emphasise enough. It's companies. It's businesses. Exercising their rights to choose how to run their business & how much to charge. Fight it how? QANTAS for eg feel that they can attract more passengers by saying - look at us, we're safe, no Vaccine, no Vacation, fly with us, we're looking after you, come aboard. That's their business decision to look after their bottom line. Of course, individuals have the right to not be vaccinated. I stand four square there. But, the consequences of me taking that stance would mean I couldn't do loads of things I want to.

I know phil and I don't blame you good luck with that and I hope the vaccine ends up being safe and your pleasures don't end prematurely but it's more than that to me it's taking my rights of choice away fundimentaly wrong there should be some compromise along the way surely after all the takers of the vaccine will be safe so we take the risk about 1 in 300;000 I believe

I'm not sure it does take away your rights. But, I understand your stance. It means if you decide to exercise your right to not have the vaccine, there will be some things you won't be able to do, and there will be some things that cost you more. Exercising freedom of choice on anything has a consequence.
(Aside - during the height of the AIDs crisis, in less enlightened times, a 28 year old male, describing themselves as single, living in Brighton, occupation Florist would pay a higher insurance premium than 28, Male, Married, Rotherham, Pipe Fitter. Because we're all just part of one big fucking spreadsheet - Covid vaccination will be a column on that spreadsheet)

I think it's inevitable that the Premier League will have a protocol at some point that ALL players have to be vaccinated. A simple extension of all players must be tested. Just as a whimsy, imagine what would be said "on here" if Berge said - I'm sure all Blades Fans understand, I have the right to refuse to be vaccinated, I'm exercising that right, and consequently will not be available for the foreseeable future.
Just an example of the choices & consequences argument.

I know. But you know as well. In order to rake in the PL money, the PL need to play, be on Tele & have crowds. To do that they need the cooperation & permission of the Government. That is what this thread is about. To gain that cooperation the PL have to put things in place. Social Distancing. Deep cleaning. Testing. And, inevitably, vaccination. Berge can exercise his right & not get paid. Up to him.

Healthy children are vaccinated against polio and the like. Just like Bert was and probably the rest of the people on this forum.
True but how many years did it take to get a safe vaccine also I haven't had a jab since school my immune system is working for me

I’ve got more werthers originals than him, I’ve been having werthers at the lane since before you even started coming. I had werthers in division 4. When Don givens missed that penalty I had werthers then

Last time I was offered a Werther's, bloke at work came up to me ready to dispense one and said "does that want a paedo pellet?"
