I don't care how much he's on a week, not even getting off the bench, for a side that might not get a point until November/December, is a terrible career move for anyone.

He's not Premier League quality. He wasn't when he played in the Prem for us and any club that watched him and thought 'he's just what we need when we're struggling' deserves what they've ended up with. The fact that it's them fucking scrubbers is the icing on the cake. Truly, a match made in Heaven 😂😂😂

He easily has/had the talent and ability to have a career in the premier league he just didn't have the drive to do it. Fair play to him, he earned a shit load, was the best player in the championship, loved by fans at both clubs, and didn't have to change his lifestyle much. Still ate and drank what he wanted and had a manager that encouraged it..

I was in the Black Horse, Torviscas, Tenerife in January watching us on their screen. The owner knew Gus well as he had been quite a regular in the Wakanda Bar
nearby when he worked there. He liked Gus and said he drank like a fish and loved his burgers. Like you say, hes been very well paid and had a good lifestyle. Cant
blame him really.

Yep, the only thing he had missing was professional pride.

4 games no goals is the biggest surprise. Goals for fun last season and to not score a single goal is odd.

They were talking as if they were the best championship side in living memory.

They got off to a very good start but they were no better than anyone else to get promoted in recent years. Infact the league last year was full of teams like us who massively underperformed and underachieved. They made a couple of decent signings in a stable squad where as a lot of teams around fucked up or had a year of transition.

There was as many outside factors contributing to their success as well as them being good.

They weren’t as great as they thought they were and the premier league is a lot harder now than it was when they were last up there. Gus isn’t athletic enough to boss a premier league midfield and never will be. Only when we pointed out these facts to them it was because we were so obviously jealous and bitter and not at all because we’ve been there and experienced it for ourselves since Dion Dublin retired.

Hull have a more combative style which PL clubs don’t like playing against and Ipswich have more depth than them being their second recent promotion. Cov played decent football but if you try and out football a better side then you’ll get walloped in the prem and that’s exactly what’s happening.

I don’t think it’s that surprising that they’ve struggled the most. Burnley under Kompany were a little similar.

coventry wont be on their own struggling imo hull and ipswich will soon plumett down the premier league once their both sussed add fulham and palace and youve got your 5 relegation candidates

A good start like they've had significantly boosts their chances of staying up, though.

Hamer laughing. Shit tonnes of money, not playing, one of the highest paid championship players next season. 🤌🏾

Only just over half way through September and the owner is already issuing a statement.

It’s possible to argue that they were also significantly weaker than some.

They were levels below the dirty Leeds of 24/25, for example, and arguably Burnley in 22/23. I’d also be happy to hear a case for both Leicester and Ipswich in 23/24.

I can remember us coming away from the Corporate Cash Arena, or whatever it’s called, last year, feeling distinctly underwhelmed by them. We were mediocre that night, but could easily have won.

Fuck, it rained like the end times. Memries.

Its no surprise at all.
While they might have won the league anyone could see they were a mile behind Leeds and Burnley from the season before.
They were always going too struggling and backing them to be relegated is like printing money.

Surprise Surprise there's an S6 Scrubber sucking up to them in the comments.
As well as being the most deluded fans Wednesday fans really are also just weird.
I wonder if the Pig read this bit? 😂

“Other external enhancements such as the painting of the Arena and overall long-term critical maintenance on the Perspex and (rusting) Steel Struts will continue over the next few months. This is the first real attention given to key infrastructure since the building of the Arena in 2005 and just part and parcel of owning a major facility.

My mantra is do it properly, do it once and then maintain the quality thereafter. There is no doubt that this work is often neglected when organisations are under financial pressure, so I am happy we are addressing these issues as they are extremely important for us business wise.”
