If you're judging him by his form at the start of the season, then you're being unfair. He was one of many players who were hugely disappointing at the start of the campaign.

Also, you may or may not be forgetting his goal against Oxford, which I would argue is one of the single most important goals of the season, as it earned us our 1st win when confidence was at an all time low.

I am judging him on how good he appeared in pre-season and at the start of the season. For sure, he was part of the problem and blame should also be put on CW for thinking that lot could actually play 442 when pre-season clearly showed they would struggle with it. Whilst CW didn't mention names, he alluded to the fact that some couldn't handle what Sheffield United were - my opinion is Wilson was one - and as before he was binned off.

You are right as to how important his goal v Oxford was - go and watch the goal and the suicidal high line Oxford tried to defend before it was played in. I'd expect any CH to score with such space gifted by the opposition.

The original point about Wilson was that EEL would equally struggle if we sign him as Wilson did in L1. Thank goodness we have asked Alex Bruce to train with us. He might not be signed, but at least he has experience of divisions higher up and we are at least looking for better.
