Could we go the season unbeaten in League One?

No need to say it again, we've lost a league sanctioned game and we've lost a league cup, if we lose in November we can ignore any November defeats on our unbeaten run...

I get it nuddy, you want us to be less shite than we are by ignoring the defeats.... It's like sports day where nobody loses and fat kids being told its glandular...

Do you think Arsenal's 49 match unbeaten run was shit then because they lost FA Cup and Champions League matches during it?

I had no idea they went on a 49 match unbeaten run, but one would assume that it wasn't an unbeaten run if they lost during it.

But you carry on in your fluffy little world sweet cheeks ;)

Nah I'm just going to talk shit and be difficult on purpose like you.

Nice. I don't agree with your unbeaten run thing, yes I'm difficult.

But you did just say because Arsenal lost in the FA cup and Champions League during this fantasy run...

I'm going to back away now before you explode.

Shall I pick your dummy up for you darling?

They went 49 league games unbeaten. During that period they didn't lose any league games. Simple.

Hmmmmm but you didn't say that did you...... Silly billy.

Not quite sure of the relevance of arsenal here, but I'll say again, even if you take the cup defeat out of our run, then the play off final was still a defeat.

I disagree with you and I seem to have rattled you a little, I'll call matron on my way out and Sir Jimmy will bring you your bottle ;)

Why can't you grasp the concept that the play off final is not a league match?

Read the league rules.

I have.

There are 46 matches in a Football League One season.

The last match of our 2011-2012 season was at Exeter and the first match of our 2012-2012 season was at home to Shrewsbury.

Seems pretty straightforward.

Brilliant. Ignore the play off bit did we.

I enjoyed Notts county manager and ex blades k curle esq saying anyone who manages to finish above us will definitely be promoted, if only blades fans had his outlook

He's probably right.

Two third place finishes on the bounce anyone??? If any team could do it, and go unbeaten as well, SUFC are that team...

Could we go unbeaten? Why yes of course. Whilst ever we have not lost, there is always a chance that ze might go unbeaten. Highly unlikely mind. Has it been done before? Other than the recent Arsenal experience I mean.

It is highly likely that we will lose a game before Chrimbo. We have 3 of the top 6 to play and 6 of the top 10, before xmas. In fact the next 2 away games will be very tricky. Then Stevenage at home.

Actually, I think we are on for another chapter in the SUFC great ways of fucking things up (one for Grecian2000). We will have an invincible season and not lose, yet not go up. The only team in history to do it. Actually no, we'll probably lose the last game and fuck that up. 91 points, 45 league games unbeaten (yet lose the last) and not promoted.

Has it been done before? Other than the recent Arsenal experience I mean.

Preston did it when they won the first league title, and Liverpool did it when winning division 2 in the 1890's. These were both seasons of considerably fewer games than we paly today. Other than Arsenal, that's it.

Sounds daft but the longer it goes on the more pressure there will be for teams to have a go at beating us and also for us to be thinking about not losing.

Best thing we can do is keep doing what we're doing and look at each game, forget records, if we stay unbeaten fine, if then fine. Just as long as we recover from a defeat then we'll be fine

Each team in the 1888-89 league only played 22 games
