 mmmmmmmmmm...... suppose if yer match the on field AMBITION with the off field AMBITION yer have a point !

Oh by the way the lack of on field AMBITION shown in the Premiership season was bordering on criminal for an ambitious club like the Blades.

Tell me my why was the investment in QUALITY players so poor ?

So you'd have give Warnock money in the January window would you? After the farcical performance he had in the January transfer window before that?

Give me a break.

We'll get it right on the pitch, I don't understand how quickly you think it will come. Do you think it will happen overnight? Do you know who we've got lined up?

We're trying to build a massive club here, which needs to be both on and off the pitch. Off the pitch, all things are going well for us and the money will be coming in from different places, unfortunately mis-management on the pitch has cost us so far, not a lack of ambition from the board.

Can i take from that you agree no real investment was made?
and do you think Killa was a farcical signing ?

I hope your reight and the Blades do have success on the pitch, No i don't think it will happen overnight, do you ?,as for who the Blades have got lined up do you mean leaving BDTBL or arriving?, on both counts i have no idea, do you?

Massive club ? are you sure ?, i suppose the ambition off field and the ambition on field is a bit like who came first the chicken or the egg?, me i'd sooner have success on the field first. Now mis-management on the pitch let me see you ever heard 'the buck stops here?'.

I too would rather see success on the field of play; after all, I support the football club, not the PLC.

However, to accuse Kevin McCabe of lacking ambition is completely erroneous. Whether you feel that his ambition is misdirected is another matter entirely, but the fact that he has ambition cannot be doubted.

I wonder what would happen if we suddenly came successful; do you think you'd stop posting your asinine nonsense or would you get another bee in your bonnet?

Not true, i just wish the on field ambition matched the off field ambition perhaps then the Blades would still be in the Premiership, once again i say the lack of investment in QUALITY players before the Premiership season started was stupid for an ambitious club and to try and hang that on Warnock is mis guided in my opinion.

The January before that, with the wonder signings of Horsfield and Akinbiyi for a combined total of £3m.

I've never called Killa a bad signing, but thousands did before this season.

I would sooner see it on the pitch first too, but it's not happening because of mis-management.

Mis-management on the pitch yes, where Warnock was too negative throughout the season cost us our place in the Premiership despite the amazing job he did to get us there, and Robson's management in general earlier this season.

How easy do you think it is to get QUALITY? Teams that get promoted, can't get QUALITY. They have to get enough to keep them in the division, which these days doesn't happen.

Its all well and good wanting success on the pitch first.... Many teams require this and cripple themselves financially to do so.

They either get really lucky or end up freefalling and going into administration/near administration.

We are currently in a position to expect more than we currently have due to the sound base that Mr McCabe (with the help of others) has made.

I recall you slagging McCabe off for a quote related to becoming a top european club (a quote which you attributed to him incorrectly)... So which do you want? A club that aspires to be a top european club and intends to do so through a backbone of sound business practice OR a club that invests in "QUALITY" players (whom just happen to normally command the biggest fee's and wages) short term, with no off the field backup should the gamble not pay off?

Who decides a players quality? the manager in charge of making the decisions (who like it or not knows far more about football and the ins and outs than you ever will, yes, even Mr Robson) or the fans with the benefit of hindsight when things don't come off?

Yes they would and some would say because McCabe is all mouth.

I assume the £1.8million he spent on friday increasing his holding was just shouting his mouth off too?

Still he'll not want to get maximum return on his investments will he? its probably just an attempt to increase his control in order to keep us a mid table Championship side?

14million shares bought off Mr Dudley 4.2million shares from the market now McCabe and his family own 74.7% stake 208million shares.

Very close to that magic figure 75%, wonder whats next ?;)

Whatever is next, even should what you are losely suggesting happens.... It's by far in his best interests to show the ambition relative to what will maximise his investment... Doing otherwise would surely be lunacy?

What do you think happens next Foxy?

What I think makes absolutely no difference, thats in the hands of the people in charge.

I've heard many "insider" rumours as to what is going on, but none have any more substance than the current official line on matters.

Whatever happens, Mr McCabe and/or members of his family will be around for the long term in my opinion. Whether that be in a controlling capacity with additional external investment or just a presence alongside someone else with the majority share.

The same point is still 100% pertinent though... Mr McCabe would be foolish to do anything other than the best on and off the field in order to maximise his investment.

What do you think? (I have an idea :))

I think Mr McCabe should make a statement of intent/commitment as soon as possible, that would be appropriate.

Lots of speculation about SUFC delisting from AIM flying around, where would that leave small shareholders, many of them Blades ?

Even if he did make a statement of his intent or commitment to the club would it really make you believe him more? You seem pretty adamant that he is not really interested in the club at all.

Normal practice when so close to 75% to make a statement to the 'market'.
Mr McCabe is interested in the club.

If he was after the "magic 75%", wouldn't he have just bought enough from the market in order to gain this on Friday?

Could he have intentionally kept it below the 75% point due to potential voting issues? i've no idea on the SUFC PLC rules :)

Perhaps the new investment is just part of a method of keeping all his options open?

In terms of delisting, wouldn't a certain percentage of the shareholders have to agree to that?

It would save on admin costs etc and potentially make us more attractive to investors.

I assume you only really talk about the small shareholders in terms of having a say in the club? As nobody could realistically say the small shareholders were/are hoping to make money :)

Who knows ? other than Mr McCabe.
In reality McCabe probably controls more than 75% anyway and adhering to certain timescales can really do what he wants with SUFC.
Just do a google on AIM.
Mr McCabe i'm sure has SUFC's interest at heart anyway.
One thing for sure SUFC under valued at current share price and if a huge settlement comes in from Wetspam BINGO.

Simon Capper - SUFC Finance Director said:
"Because people talk so much, you have to be quite quick about putting out stock market announcements," Mr Capper noted. "But we can't comment on all the speculation or we'd be putting out an announcement every day."
I think he means you BB! :D

I was thinking more Jesus Christ up front, God himself as the midfield playmaker, Buddha - perhaps as one of his slimmer avatars - slotting into CB next to Killa, and the many-armed Vishnu keeping goal. Now THAT would be a team with ambition.

Blackwell - "So Jesus, you play up front, and get on the cross."
Jesus - "Are you taking the piss?"
