Wilder is 80/20 gone .....

Club have spoke to Cooper / Rohl and Fuentes who is on gardening leave at QPR
Irrespective of whether that's true or not, and I want Wilder to stay, the QPR gaffer is a top shout if Wilder went.

Not seeing any improvement with Cooper.

Rohl would be funny for ‘bantz’ reasons.

Cifuentes seems a bit of a club hopper, he’s on gardening leave for coveting the WBA job and left his previous 2 clubs after being ‘transferred’ (assuming this means compensation was paid).

If these are the options then keep Wilder.

Getting rid of someone only works if the replacement is better.

It’s as simple as that.

Wilder is a known quantity and has a proven track record at the club. Only the emergence of VAR in the final kept us away from promotion.

We all remember Warnock leaving. Who would have been happy if they knew Robson was the incumbent?

On the flip side, Chris also has to show he can be a progressive manager and be open to AI and what other emerging methods there may be. If we’re in the process of a unique approach like a Brentford or a Brighton have, then we or should I say he, needs to be open to a potential differentiator.

Disagree to some extent.

Would agree if you were looking to change like for like ie Dyche fir Wilder but we’re not.

New owners are trying to modernise the club root to branch so it’s not a matter of getting someone better but someone different.

Spurs aren’t trying to replace Postecoglou they’re bringing Thomas Frank and his whole setup in

So are you saying that if we modernise the club and go all in on a new recruitment system we don't need a better manager ? . That anyone will do so long as they like the new set up ?

Seems odd to me surely you try to keep improving in all aspects, players, coaching staff, managers etc

Taking Rohl would be the funniest thing that’s ever happened but I honestly think he’s shit, would probably backfire. The others aren’t upgrades on Wilder. Always admired Hassenhutl’s style would get behind him but most realistic and impressive appointment would have to be Liam Rosenior.

No read it again, a ‘different type of manager’ who can adapt to the modern game. If the owners are hell bent on a modern day football club with a DoF, data driven analytics selecting his players etc. who would you choose Wilder or Thomas Frank?

Both good in their own right but totally different management/coaching styles.

As long as we got promoted it would be - but the cries of "Agent Sausage" from the other side of the city would become tiresome very quickly every time we had a bad result.

(Credit to someone I can`t remember in the shoutbox for mentioning this earlier today)

IF Wilder is indeed leaving, Dyche would probably be my first choice.

If we are looking at a more modern but less experienced manager, Jon Eustace might be worth a punt.

Might be a bit difficult to get him out of Derby though, at the time I heard that one of the reasons he took that job is because he has family in Derby.

There was still ample time to score more goals. It’s easier to blame VAR though.

The way we sat back on a 1 nil after the VAR cost us. Not the actual VAR itself. Without VAR the linesman might have flagged?!

Is Dyche is an option we should keep Wilder.
