Pitch is just a nats toe bigger (1m wider) than West Brom and Villa FYI - i really do think its a psychological thing because of the space around the goals and the size of the stadium

(injuries allowing ) Just because he's really good defensively and tracking back.
Also he reads the game so well going forward and can chip in with the occasional goal, top all round player

It’s not too difficult really to get these numbers down.

Gilchrist, Shackleton, One. We have better like for like options unless Seriki can’t make the bench the probably Gilchrist is in.

Then either BBD isn’t fit and that takes care of it. He’s a better option than Cannon in my view but don’t see Wilder leaving a 10m signing out. It would be so harsh to drop Brooks. He could not bother with McCallum who is erratic at best. I’m sure Brooks could do a cameo at left back if needed.

I’d be shocked if any other players didn’t make it unless injured.

I believe that the Wembley pitch is the upper limit of the regulation range where ours is on the small end. Believe we were fined by the PL for having a pitch slightly shorter than regulation not that long ago.

The length can be between 90 and 120m for length. So there’s a large range. Think the PL aim for a 105m long pitch by 70-72m wide

JRS is more unpredictable and on his day better than Brooks IMHO, you'd be crazy to leave him out. Any out of the following gilchrist/seriki (if not fit enough), Brooks and mcallum.

Good question though and its going to be a hard decision either way for wilder & co.

We can't leave out Rak-Sakyi, who's been one of our best weapons this season, when fit.

In recent matches we've had a handful of regular, excellent subs. Safe bet is that continues.

Tactical changes possible, but probably 442 again with Hamer on the left and Brewster on the right.

So leave out Gilchrist, Shackleton, BBD, One.

From what I read, the Wembley pitch is the same width as ours and is only 12 foot longer. That's nothing. A player running at full pelt probably covers that extra 12 foot in about a second.

The pitch just looks massive sat in a huge arena.

Agree with most that with 24 fit players Shackleton, One, and Gilchrist (unless Seriki is not fit) are obvious to leave out.

I don't particularly rate McCallum but it would be stupid to take three sub wingers and no sub left back, so he's in for me.

So it boils down to who to drop out of BBD, Brooks, and JRS. If all three are 100% fit I would probably leave out JRS but it's a really tough call. Nice problem to have though!

For me it’s a choice between McCallum and BBD.

All the rest I feel pick themselves.

Possibly he won’t risk BBD in the knowledge he’s got Brooks and Rak-Sakyi.

If all were fit I’d have BBD in over Cannon but we know Chris won’t do that.
