Taking Rohl would be the funniest thing that’s ever happened but I honestly think he’s shit, would probably backfire. The others aren’t upgrades on Wilder. Always admired Hassenhutl’s style would get behind him but most realistic and impressive appointment would have to be Liam Rosenior.
i like both those 2 names rosenior is a young progressive manager and could just be the type our new board are looking for hassenhutls an interesting shout thought he was harshly sacked at southampton and could be out to prove a point

Disagree to some extent.

Would agree if you were looking to change like for like ie Dyche fir Wilder but we’re not.

New owners are trying to modernise the club root to branch so it’s not a matter of getting someone better but someone different.

Spurs aren’t trying to replace Postecoglou they’re bringing Thomas Frank and his whole setup in
It depends your success criteria.

If we finish with less than 92 points next season and don’t go up then we’ve failed.

Football is a results business. I don’t want personally to see a new fangled way to not go up and somehow call it success. Whatever change has to result in improvement not an acceptance of trading water for 12 months.

If they pull the trigger on Wilder then they’d better be celebrating promotion in 12 months.

I personally think Chris would deliver that. But that’s opinion. He has dealt with a lot, huge player churn, the psychological impact of starting on minus points, Baldock’s passing. He has created a far stronger platform for next season.

One dodgy subjective VAR call has prevented us reaching the desired goal, despite the above challenges and cruel injuries to probably two of the highest values players.

I remember being happy with the Robson announcement, at that time he seemed an ambitious catch who represented a big step up from NW.

Then the season started 😭

In 18 years that is the first time I've heard anyone say they were happy with that appointment.

Even the bookies dropped us from 3rd favourites to 6th

Getting rid of someone only works if the replacement is better.

It’s as simple as that.

Wilder is a known quantity and has a proven track record at the club. Only the emergence of VAR in the final kept us away from promotion.

We all remember Warnock leaving. Who would have been happy if they knew Robson was the incumbent?

On the flip side, Chris also has to show he can be a progressive manager and be open to AI and what other emerging methods there may be. If we’re in the process of a unique approach like a Brentford or a Brighton have, then we or should I say he, needs to be open to a potential differentiator.
Ahhh the old VAR excuse rears it's head out of the excuse book. Funnily enough in June last year Premier League clubs voted 19 to 1 in favour of keeping VAR.

Need to get Maurizio Sarri in. 200 woodbines a week will do it 🚬.

Not necessarily. We’ll probably have the 4th highest budget going into next season, so the same level of results and success shouldn’t be expected regardless of the manager.

We were far better than many of the teams in the division this season and ground a lot of games out due to that fact. We didn’t play like a team with a budget that dwarfed others, we played like a team happy to scrap and play in periods of games or rely on Hamer to do something decent.

What if we get 89 points and get to 2 cup finals? Would that be better or worse?

I think everyone except the owners knew Robson was going to fail, as for Wilder getting the sack perhaps he’s left because he doesn’t want AI telling him what players have signed.

Cooper would fit what the owners are after. He recruited well for Forest during their promotion season bringing through young players who he could develop. He's well respected, keeps his outbursts largely to the touchline and to their credit (which I despise giving them), Forest played great football that season.
