Hopefully to be announced in the morning, a young centre half from a premier league club.

think we need a right back more at the moment, however am i right in saying nosworthy can play as a right back?

Might be one of the following;

Dorian Dervite (Spurs)?
Craig Cathcart (Man Utd)?
Liam Cooper (Hull City)?

Ive looked at all the young defenders (under 23) and cant see anyone else who would be worth signing but I may be forgetting someone. The rest are all either playing for their first team or have no experience whatsoever.

We shall see..............

Isnt that Tom Cruise a centre back, who they rave on about?

He would be perfect for what we need at the moment anyway - embarking on mission impossible (cue the music)

Undoubtedly one of the most-improved youngsters last term, left-back Thomas continued to star for the Under-18s and enjoyed a prolonged spell in the Reserves after Kieran Gibbs' promotion to the first team.
With great work-rate, strength and clinical distribution, the 18-year-old defender has all the required attributes of a modern-day full-back. Although he has featured at centre-back for the Academy, Tom played every minute of Arsenal’s Youth Cup campaign on the left of the defence during his first season as a professional.
The likeable youngster will no doubt have his eye on a place in Arsène Wenger’s Carling Cup squad this season.

My money would be on cathcart. ThAt was the first name I thought of before coming on here.

According to the Man Utd website he is already out on loan. Although it doesnt state who to.

how about francis coquelin at arsenal, he's a right back though
or cedric evina, who is a centre back

Why would Wenger let any Aresenal youngsters come here to have all their good habits knocked out of them by the meister of hoofball??

KB wouldnt know what to do with players that have excellent distribution :)

According to Wikipedia, he was on loan at Watford until the 4th Jan.

So could well be him. Especially if Fergie wants him playing at this level

I dont think it will be someone as young as we're making out. They seemed to be suggesting on Radio Sheffield that it is a defender with some decent PL experience and all the players we have mentioned havent had much exposure so I think we should be looking at some slightly older players maybe?

Please dont joke about that. Jokes about our £46M debt are funnier than that ;)

To be fair to Titus, if he could cut out the lapses in concentration he would be a fantastic signing.

He has the attributes of a good defender, he just lets his concentration slip.

Don't think it'll be Titus. Blackie said the player in question was a development player at his club so it'll be a young 'un

So basically he'd be good if he wasn't utterly woeful?

It's Kyle Walker!!

He's this young Centre Back that Spurs signed in the summer. They loaned him to a championship team who play him at Right Back, as it turns out he's a revelation there too.... Be good if we could sign him!

James Chester and Kyle Bartlett, apparently. Just heard from my mate, no decent source!

yep it is Kyle Bartley. I heard a couple of days ago but had to keep it quiet. As its been mentioned now, it aint come from me lol.

Just contacted an Arsenal fan I know who follows their youth team closely. He really rates Bartley, very tall and quite quick. But for injury he would've played in the Carling Cup for Arsenal this season. He's not a product of their youth system as they got him from Bolton. Big Sam went nuts about it at the time he reckons, and having seen him play he can understand why. He played in the Champions League for them this season and is earmarked as one to step up should Eboue or another centre-back leave in the summer.
