no,it seems season after season that `other teams`be it man utd or brighton, get there targets,or players they set out to sign that are followed by the media.

That or perhaps you don't see all the early speculation and bullshit because it's someone else s club and you aren't looking for it.

itkers-but an example of `utds`poor trading skills came about last year-the tale of the 2 scottish lads,ok,it may not have all been our fault, but it makes the club look like fools.
The club doesnt deserve much credit for the way its conducting itself-having players photo`s taken at the club-releasing them-then there to be `another hold up`be it man uniteds or ours, its crap handling.

Whilst we don't particularly come out of it looking well, problems with last minute deals happen all the time, the one example you pick would have been easily resolved had we been someone like Spurs, as they'd have simply ratified the paperwork late as has happened a number of times.

In terms of the photo of a player, it's the source of the usage of that photo at fault. Had it all been sorted as expected, then the photos would have been shown by official sources by now. As yet, they haven't, as the deal isn't done.

It's the press that have published photos and stories and a few people on Twitter trying to build reputations by making statements.

I'd agree with you wholeheartedly had SUFC announced that he'd signed and then still been trying to get it all done, but they haven't.

Similarly, Villa and the local press in their part of the world reported the deal for Lowton before it was complete, had we held it up further then gavthevillain might be posting the same right now.

To be fair Foxy, I don't think I've ever in my life seen a picture of someone posing for photos when the deal isn't even complete. And my take on the "It's because we're Sheffield United" is the same as "we're England. We're going out of the competition on penalties or a contentious decision".

I'd suggest it's a fairly regular occurrence that photos etc are taken when most aspects of a deal are done but the paperwork is yet to be signed off and the deal ratified by the authorities. As I say, all that's wrong in this case is that someone put the photo public before it was fully sorted or the club wanted to announce the signing.

I don't really see what the big issue is, it's expected to go through fine, the hold up is at the other end and United haven't announced anything to be classed as in the wrong.

Christiano Ronaldo was wandering round the Arsenal training ground with Arsene and a Gunners shirt with his name on the back and look how that turned out. The Evening Standard didn't release a photo of that one though.

Sorry my take on it is SUFC have been completely unprofessional a well run club don't say anything till the deal is done never mind allow the release of photo's to the press with a Man Ure player in our shirt before he signs on the dotted line. Another fine example of how to make the club look like the joke of the football world, but hey ho we should be used to it by now, it was the fax machine last year .

We tried for a few but............................ ( insert the lame excuse of your choice)

same every year when will they get the chimps fully trained ?

Well, they did tweet from the official account "keep an eye on SUFC.co.uk this afternoon as we will have news on the Blades first summer addition". That is hugely avoidable if the paperwork isn't sorted. I don't think anyone denies that hiccups will happen late on in deals, but why tweet that (and follow it up with a BladesPlayer plug for the lady's first interview) when all that was needed was to wait till everything was finalised? I wouldn't go as far as saying it's an embarrassment, but it is a bit amateurish - particularly given how well the club had done to keep this all under wraps till this week.

Yep, that one makes the tweet look a little daft, but we have far bigger concerns to overcome than someone tweeting then a deal being delayed :)

The photo of Cofie was fake(bit like the rumour on BM re a press conference)..if you look in the background there are some goal posts...the goal posts aren't up at the moment(and they appear to be in the wrong place) and the temporary ones aren't there either...well they certainly weren't when I looked yesterday morning

Also the shadows are consistent.

The posts in the picture are correct for where they are currently positioned, ie not the centre.

Perhaps you should look around properly when you visit the lane next time.

That photo isn't a fake. As Worksop said, shadows are consistent.
How about this one? ;)

The REAL John Cofie is an Albino.

Putting 1 + 1 together here.

On John Cofie's twitter is says that Simon Kennedy is his agent.

Off to Sheffield today - could be another young talent signing a contract in the steel city today!!
12:35 AM - 12 Jul 12

I guess that's a reference to some business he may be doing with the dark side.
"another" is probably additional to Coife - not that he has signed yet.

My bet is Tom Eckersley - 20yo defender who he represents recently released by Bolton it appears.

Couple of tweets on his feed which, reading between the lines, looks like he will have a new club soon...

If he is a defender and costs nowt then he sounds like he could be on the cards to repalce Lowts.
Do we know if he is a full back or a CB?

Don't forget Paul Ince was photographed in a Man Utd shirt while still a player for the cheating cockneys. That photo was released and is the main reason the scummy fans hate Ince.

The temporary ones were in that spot last weekend. Possibly moved yesterday when you looked as they had the lights on the pitch (certainly late afternoon).

Edit: Actually, here you go :), unphotoshopped from my phone Saturday night - http://www.s24su.com/forum/index.php?threads/can-i-be-the-first-to-say.27436/

Still waiting for the paperwork to go through.......... the carrier pigeon must have got lost in the bad weather.
