I sure hope Blackwell knows what he's doing - Bromby isn't the best player, but getting rid of him will leave us very weak at the back, whether we lose Killa or not.

I can't see what Blackie's seen in the three weeks since he re-signed unless there's some kind of swap deal and he's the one Leeds have targetted. Maybe Billy plus Brombs for..........

You're being incredibly naive. Since when have we had replacements lined up before selling? We might have players in our sights, but history would suggest that until the deal is done, it's not a deal at all.

Fair point but he specifically mentioned needing cover in that area a couple of weeks ago and hence I can't believe that we'd sell our only recognised cover without being certain that someone else was coming in. Unless of course it was a centre forward (thought I'd mention it before you did!)

It does leave us short of cover but he never filled me with a huge amount of confidence (and not just because of his wendy pants).

Sorry for the double post BUT I should have added, this seems to leave us very very thin at the back, where's the cover for Morgans regular suspension. It maybe a good deal money wise for us but not if we are left with no cover. Thats a bit like not getting home insurance because you can save a few hundred quid and gambling that you will never have a house fire?

Bromby's move up north from Watford was because he was feeling homesick. Dewsbury isn't a long way from Sheffield but it's a lot closer to Leeds. Perhaps there's some family stuff that we don't know about which means he needs to be closer to home than being in Sheffield affords?

Only speculation, but so is claiming that he's had a fall out with Blackwell.

Maybe we are not going to use that threat so much now we have loads of wide players.
Don't forget that Bromby also covered right back as well.

As for CB cover I guess Kyle Walker could be considered a stop gap for this season, at least. He played pretty well at Hull last year in the cup.
Strange one, though, unless Blackie is doing a swap at Dirty L***s or there is other cover availalble coming in.
