We’ve not got one single player good enough for the England squad, Southgate has nothing against us and we aren’t a hated club. Our players are simply not good enough.
Thats not unpopular with me. I believe it is true, and says more about the management team than anything else. We are so lucky to have them, Zeus knows what will happen when they have gone.

I thought Michael Higdon would be a superb signing worth his weight in gold for us, and become a classic, late blooming striker who scored wherever he went right in to his late 30's, in the mould of Ricky Lambert and Grant Holt.

I'd prefer it if we were spender the Brewster millions on a ball playing no.10 to compete with Didzy. I don't think Rhian is the answer to our current problems

I think it will prove to be a very underwhelming signing. Everyone thinks when Brewster is on the pitch that’s it, goals are flooding in. We don’t suit that type of ST. CW will run him ragged, having him drop back and pick the ball up in our own half like our current forwards. We’d have to adapt our whole style of football, and if that does happen we would’ve been better off keeping the players we’ve offloaded.

He did that last season for Swansea.

On the contrary, we know the other strikers definitely don’t suit us. They don’t score enough goals.

Not sure this has already been done I haven’t read the full thread but I couldn’t care less if we get relegated. I hate the premier league. Hate VAR and prefer the overall experience of the championship match day.
Fottball is for 3 pm on Saturdays and Tuesday nights not 11 am on Sundays, 6 pm on Mondays.
If we get relegated this season ( and I don’t believe we will ) I honestly won’t mind. Rupert Murdoch, Sky, and VAR have fucking ruined football for me.

A truffle sniffer messaged me that Brewster is a poor mans Clinton Morrison. I laughed and then panicked it might be true

Higdon‘s weight? That’s a helluva lot of gold. Husky lad, as I recall.

I don't want us to spend anymore money. I think we've spent enough and it's not gone well.

We'd be better with some sort of director of football type role, to help us transform our scouting and help with premier league transfers.

Wilder is a fantastic manager and did a great job at recruitment in the football league. His lack of top flight experience is showing in our transfer business though.

Unfortunately we can't cut it at the moment..... we do need a bigger checkbook.... The Prince could do with some help UTB

We didn't need Sander Berge and there were probably better uses for the money we have spent on him.

100%

Brilliant player who I think would shine in a CDM pair, however in our system there really is nowhere for him. At RCM he's good, and marginally better than Lundstram. As our lone deep lying midfielder Norwood is far more effective.

Considering he's a superior player to both, it's extremely frustrating.

With hindsight this is completely right, especially now Freeman has gone out on loan. We needed a midfielder with more creativity further up the pitch

Out of interest why would the club realise it was a colossal mistake?

Because we've spent an awful lot on a player who doesn't really fit the system, and if we sell him as a result of relegation, due to the climate we find ourselves in he'll be a far cry from the money-spinner people were expecting ('we'll sell him for twice that' and all the other optimistic predictions people were making at the time of his signing).

There’s a lot of short termism on here in regards to Berge. It’s not really surprising.
