A question would be nice

With the short closing date, I figured it would be kinder to just allow people to tell me they want to win by sending their details :D

Is there any chance of a list of the winners, as it seems every time there is one of these competitions the identity of the winners is not divulged, which could lead people of a suspicious nature to come up with conspiracy theories?

We've never divulged lists of winners purely in the interests of not "outing" people if they don't wish to be "outed".

A few people have come on and thanked us, effectively "outing" themselves as winners.

If people wish for lists of winners to be published we can do that, but it simply means that anyone entering will have to agree to their names being published.

Quite what conspiracy theories could be arrived at, I've no idea... I assume what your hinting at is that you haven't won so it must be fixed? ;)

As a life long blade I am now used to the disappointment of not winning, apparently it's character forming and as a result my eight year old now calls me loser.

If you cannot publish the names of the winners, why not tell us the number of people who entered each week / time.

At least then we would know (or maybe just accept) that it's not just a "blackhole".

i won 8 times last season which came as quite a shock ,i never even entered

To be honest, it never once occurred to me that anyone would think we went to all the effort of getting it organised, for it to be suspected a "black hole" or "conspiracy".

Never mind eh.

Looking forward to playing with that SUFC autographed football in the morning...

Not saying that at all, just find it a bit odd that you can organise a competition and then not announce who the winners are. Just saying it would be nice to know who the winners are.

Just for record if your assuming that i'm hinting that that i haven't won so it must be fixed, then in future i'll refrain from entering your forum competitions.

From day one, it's always been clear that the winners will be contacted personally, rather than published for the internet to see.

It wasn't really a concious decision to protect the identity of winners, but I did think it was slightly fairer to allow people to decide whether or not others knew they had won the competition.

It was actually a joke, hence the ";)". I'm a little perplexed that people think that because we don't tell everyone the names of the people who won, there must be some form of sinister reasoning for it.

It's your choice, makes no odds to me who enters, other than there more people there are, the more work it is for me. We gain nothing other than work and the feeling that we may be making someone's Saturday and giving people who otherwise would have the chance the opportunity to do something.

I'm more than happy to publish who wins, I just figured people would appreciate their privacy.

If you want to know who won our latest competition, take a look on Twitter, that one's obvious for all to see.

I entered, but didn't win. I've entered all the other times, and won once. So therefore there must be more entrants than winners. If you want to moan about the competition then you run the next one.

People are offered the chance to win something for nothing, and there are still whingers. Unbelievable.

I take it that is aimed at me?

No, but take it how you like. And feel free to run your own competition to win hospitality tickets. Then liase with the company donating the tickets, meet the winners to arrange the handover of the tickets, and then get all kinds of flak on here from people who think it's a "fix" or a "blackhole" or whatever.

Did I mention that you won't get paid for any of this? And that you'll get gratitude from the few winners - six, eight or however many win, and grief from those who don't win who think it's not fair?

So take it how you like Brownie, because there's nothing anyone can say that will make anyone change their mind. Perhaps Foxy can "fix" the next ticket giveaway so that the whingers win. Then perhaps they just might stop whinging.

I've entered them all currently I believe, not won yet. I don't see it as a "Fix," I just see it as I never bloody win anything :p. But I'll keep trying however long the competitions run for.

I've entered three times and won once. I'd never met Foxy and Linz in advance, so it wasn't a fix, just luck.

To be honest Foxy I wouldn't bother in future.

Whilst sometimes it may feel better that way, to not bother goes against the whole reasoning behind us doing it.

The messages of thanks and the knowledge that another 6 blades supporting winners enjoyed their day on Saturday shows that it's worth taking the time to do these things.

I've won once, but it bloody snowed and got called off and I couldn't make the rearranged fixture, would never rate this as a fix though, think it's great these competitions pop up now and again!
