He said he’s more bothered about regions than individual clubs so would like to see a Yorkshire club go up, like us or Leeds, nothing against Wednesday but it’s not their season. Also would like to see Bristol City as the West County hasn’t had top flight football for a long time

He did MOTD2 regularly until a couple of years ago but they got rid of him because he "gave too much opinion" instead of just asking questions to the pundits.

I'm not surprised he gave his opinion because it was probably more insightful than anything that comes from Captain Obvious Shearer and his sidekick Danny Murphy.

The BBC replaced him with "don't you know who I am" Mark Chapman and the equality card in Gabby Logan.

I think Murray was poached for the prime job on Talk Sport, which he then gave up when Murdoch bought out Talk Sport as he said he would never work for Murdoch.

If anyone listened to radio 1 when he did the afternoon show with Edith bowman or did his c4 morning breakfast show, you’ll know he’s an outspoken, from the heart person. Not conducive to the bbc agenda.

He's great on Quest. He did the World Snooker Championship too, just seems like a good bloke, and knowledgeable.

Probably the best sports presenter about for knowledge of the leagues, it's nice to be talked about by someone who knows what they're on about.

Now they just need to sort the pundits out on Quest, the quality is all over the place, Dean Ashton, Jesus Christ.
