If our club was a listed company trading would have been suspended due to the catastrophic collapse. Maybe as businessmen they will learn and "fix fast".

Sacking Wilder was obviously very fucking far from the right decision.Sacking wilder was the right decision but appointing Selles has just not worked out, that's football.
Hopefully they get the next one right.
What they need is a expert who knows the club well, the players, the league, what promotion takes even without parachute payments, 1000+ games of experience so has seen it all and isn't contracted with another club.... Warnock is busy with Torquay and his stage shows so that leaves one guyI said a while back somewhere on this board, can't be arsed to find it, be careful what you wish for about these owners.
They are American business men. And their business is NOT football. They know next to nothing about how things work in this world. All they are looking for is a good return on their investments.
They are proving me right that they know nothing about football.
Their next move will be crucial to how our season now pans out.
Don't think they existSo where are the people who were sucking them off on here last week after the deadline day signings?
Well done, have a doughnut! Here is something I've said since the owners arrived.
Anyone would think they’re Wednesday fans with the way they’ve handled the ownership of the club.I’ve never seen a period of SUFC Ownership where every single football decision they have got completely wrong. Who in gods name have they got advising them?!
From the protracted sacking Wilder to the ludicrous appointment of Selles (whomever made that wants binning off immediately), with no track record of success at this or any level. The ridiculous AI signings who will never trouble a first team at this level to realising they were going down the wrong route too late and spending money on a load of dross at the end of August (exception being Tanganga and one or two others). Throw in the frankly bizarre silence from the club in terms of communication.
It’s an abject mess from top to bottom. I really dread this next managerial appointment, probably another Selles type with 2-3 years of experience winning fuck all.
Has there ever been an implosion of a football club more skilfully managed?
God help us. WTTWY.
What about all the money they've spent ?Anyone would think they’re Wednesday fans with the way they’ve handled the ownership of the club.
They literally couldn’t have made shitter job of it.
Can I ask, across certainly the top 2 divisions, how many owner's businesses are "football" and what does that even mean? I mean, looking just at us through recent history, previous owners and board members had businesses that were nowt to do with football; do you just mean "they're not a born and bred Sheffield United fan"? And if that is what you mean, then that's fine, but there's noone out there so far as I know with the means to own us, who's happy to just write off hundreds of millions of pounds with no "return". I do however think, if they haven't already, that they need some football "expertise" advising them.I said a while back somewhere on this board, can't be arsed to find it, be careful what you wish for about these owners.

I wouldn't say that they rectified the transfer window, more like a knee jerk reaction apart from the purchase of Tango as was evident to see against Ipswich. What about all the money they've spent ?
They've made mistakes ,honest mistakes
For me it wasn't sacking wilder or appointing selles it was their approach to.this transfer window which they realised was a mistake and rectified ?
They're not even close to being out worst owners and are light years ahead of chansiri
Did the Prince & McCabe all do similar things to what COH are currently doing?I’ve never seen a period of SUFC Ownership where every single football decision they have got completely wrong. Who in gods name have they got advising them?!

The Star found him years ago in Australia.
Spending money isn’t always a positive. What about all the money they've spent ?

The plan was a data based approach on recruitment and coaching buying players cheap and selling for profitSpending money isn’t always a positive.
I said from when they came in, but said it louder when Wilder was replaced with Selles “what’s the plan?”
Saying it again now that Selles has gone and we know who will be back… What’s the plan?
I know that there will be a succession plan in place, which most likely will be by default, but that doesn’t help us now beyond getting some points on the board and trying to rescue something from this season.
I think COH need to start taking a bit more responsibility and ownership of the situation that they’ve created entirely.
This lot have made decisions which I’ve heard others and you call honest mistakes but they’re not just millionaire fans, they’re serious investors with track records in business… so what’s the plan? The last one didn’t work well for them with their culture setter
It wasn’t a joined up plan. It wasn’t thought out. It didn’t work. The plan was a data based approach on recruitment and coaching buying players cheap and selling for profit
They tried that it didn't work would you rather they just plough on so it looks like they have a plan. ?
The key point for me is that we know what we get from CW and I think we have a chance of getting top 6. But the Owners need to have a succession plan in a structured way. We need to improve operationally.Spending money isn’t always a positive.

Yeah the wilder fall back option has been utilised before, it’s a tried and tested method. But you’re absolutely right, operationally we need to work better…The key point for me is that we know what we get from CW and I think we have a chance of getting top 6. Attributed to Churchill: “Americans can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted.”If our club was a listed company trading would have been suspended due to the catastrophic collapse. Maybe as businessmen they will learn and "fix fast".
It's strange when Selles did pre season albeit against lower league rivals we won convincingly and the play looked exciting but as soon as we started the proper matches it all seemed to go out of the windowSelles is certainly not blameless
The players are certainly not blameless
But The imo largest mistake COH made wasn’t even sacking wilder. It was appointing Selles and being so slow to give him any tools to do the job, that all believe in him and his vision was gone.
Effectively his reign was over when the 3rd Bristol city goal went in. The players stopped buying in to anything he was selling and it went down hill from there.
The sliding doors moment was if we had started the season with the current squad would it have looked any different?
Probably not given he’s too stubborn to change anything and is essentially an over promoted PE teacher. But there’s a range of outcomes where we play well and win that match and things look significantly different and we are sat here looking like we’re moving forward.
This season now is about not getting relegated and that it genuinely outrageous given last season
