Derby & Sunderland are shite.![]()
I'm thinking...no, no, no, and OH HELL NO, in that order. *flails*
Besides, Hulse said he was happy with staying with United AND he is getting over a very nasty injury. That'd be an unusual time to try and steal someone away...errr...sign someone. *coughs* With an injury of that nature, there is always potential that it will always be a problem of some sort, so it makes far more sense to stay someplace you're loved and welcome and have HUGE support for your come-back, and not go someplace new and try to break yourself in there.
But hell, since when did anyone ever listen to common sense when money was involved? Okay, am starting to sound bitter, need to change that.
Hulse was referred to this weekend by the Guardian as "Want-away striker Rob Hulse". Does he "want-away"? Anyone heard anything?
He would have got more goals if he didn't get his injury at Chelsea, would have got about 12 or 13 goals I reckon.Eight goals was good for us, but he hardly set the Premiership alight. He'll stay if he is smart.
HUTCHINGS KEEN ON HULSE
Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings is monitoring Rob Hulse's situation at Sheffield United carefully.
Having denied being interested in the striker earlier in the summer rumours in Yorkshire are persistantly linking Latics with the striker. Having failed in his bid to land Marlon Harewood, he is still anxious to add more strength to his front line, despite already possessing the Premiership's leading scorer.
Hulse, 27, who started his career at Crewe Alexandra on 1st August 1999 after progressing through the Gresty Road youth ranks has a pretty impressive strike rate of 90 league goals in 207 full league games which include 45 for Crewe Alexandra, 9 for Hyde United, 10 for West Bromwich Albion, 18 for Leeds United and 8 (from 28+1 appearances) for the Blades.
There is no denying that he would be a useful player to have at the club, but he is still not match fit after recovering from a double fracture of his leg, sustained in a challenge with Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech at Stamford Bridge on 17th March 2007.
Ooops!

Time to change piss bag me old mucka
Can't see it at the moment - just coming back from a horror injury, at a club where he is idolised (which must be nice for him for a change) and is 100% our first choice CF.
I wrote that before we smashed the record on Beattie. Not so sure on that-personally would chose him over bettie howeer can't see Robbo not starting 4mil record signing
Billy Boy left before because he wasnt featuring so can't see him being dropped and risking him leaving-don't want to see him dropped!
