We are now in such a precarious position in the league (one which I'm still certain we will improve upon) where CW has to take a firm stand and block any player going out to play for their country this week. He has to have the ability to get the full squad on the training ground over these next couple of weeks and work with them to improve their stamina, technique, systems along with their psychological frame of mind. The players have got us into this mess, so they should sacrifice their country on this occasion and put club first. Doubt it will happen, but I certainly would. CW has to be firm with this, or he could (heaven forbid) find himself out of a job.

If players want to represent their countries it's not for Wilder to stop them. I imagine Berge would really want to and would resent Wilder for stopping him. That said if players personally aren't too bothered I wouldn't mind our physio team "finding" a slight sprain here and there to stop players going out.

I do think its a little bit ridiculous to be playing international's now but I'm assuming there's a lot of money at stake with sponsors etc

To be honest, who really cares about international football anymore?....Especially in the middle of this wretched pandemic.
Player’s flying to other countries to play football is taking the piss, when the vast majority of us can’t even get away on holiday.
