Cloughie should take a leaf out of his dad's book

A lot of talk and debate has taken place on Mr Clough tactics this season.

Mr Clough Senior said

Players lose you games . Theres much crap talked about tactics by people who barley know how to win at dominos.

:)

Cannot wait for what the January transfer window will bring.

At the same time his teams were never overcoached, Clough kept it a simple game, and boy did he know players with heart and character.

Sheridan is an awful whining, pedantic, sniping little git. He revelled in glorifying whatever the pigs did and in doing United down.. He's right up there in the pigs and sows hall of shame and with the greatest respect on a wonderful winters morning, I don't want to hear anything about this snorting, grunting, truffle hunting pig.

As I've said before, I don't hate Wednesday, I've never called them "pigs" and I never will. I love beating them, mind.

If somebody was a good footballer, I reserve the right to say so. And Sheridan was a very good footballer.
You have the right to reserve that.

But the perfect Saturday for me is a Blades win and a Wednesday loss and i wont be happy till weve got the bragging rights back.

I always had a (very!) grudging respect for Sheridan. He was a damn fine player but my respect was mainly born out of an incident in the derby at BDTBL in 1991. If memory serves, United were 1 nil up and a corner was awarded to Wednesday that clearly should have been a goal kick. Sheridan went to take the corner and promptly passed the ball out for a goal kick to United, right in front of the kop. I've not seen this done since (or before for that matter) and it was an act of sportsmanship that was highly unusual, especially under the circumstances. Even a few on the kop applauded him.

We cleared the ball away for a corner after one of the Wendy players was lying on the ground needing treatment from the physio rather than the officials making the wrong decision in awarding a corner

Wasn't that the game he stamped on Bradshaw's leg when he was lying on the floor?
Prize cunt and along with Waddle, Hirst, Curran, Worthington and Palmer my all time most hated piggy bastards (although give me 10 minutes and I'll have a list as long as my arm).

Ah right. The OP should've said bought FROM Leeds not FOR Leeds. I get it now. Didn't realise he went to Forest.. Missed that bit which kind of explains the OP ;)

Apologies, I remember Leeds were involved but Sheriden didn't last long in Cloughie Snr's plans after he bought him, as now corrected at Forest. Put my mistake down to old age, senility or whatever you think best.

Nigel should still get rid of dead wood just like his dad though. Roll on January!

I thought it was an essential requirement rather than a hidden one? We had one that took great delight in whacking the straddlers and strugglers in Pirates with the taped end of the climbing ropes in the gym.

He was also the rugby equivalent to Brian Glover in Kes. He played for Sheffield Tigers at the time and seemed to really enjoy big booming tackles against the Casper types. Twat!
