Is it just me or did Clarke not seem like his usual self yesterday? Looked quite ponderous in my opinion and it made me wonder if the Villa rumours are true or if it was just a bad day at the office...that header he missed in the second half was a sitter by his standards this season and it was well off target.

Thought he was OK. Usual workrate, only had one chance in the game, held the ball when he could. No concerns.

I think he had the same problem sharp has been having.

Donaldson was occupying the middle of the attack so he was pushed wide, when Clarke and sharp play together clarkes more central and Billy is wide.

It doesn't suit either of them but Clarkes work rate is better and he's stronger than sharp

A weakened midfield lacking its customary creativity means Clarke and Sharp will be impacted in how they play their game for a while.
Big fellas like Donaldson, Lavery and even Hanson may have to come to the fore as we utilise a more long ball approach.

That diving header is such a tough chance to put away. It's one where if he misses the ball by a foot no one says anything but since he made a connection, oh it's got to be a goal.

Leon misses one sitter every match. Usually he then gets a couple more chances and sticks them away. Sadly yesterday the diving header was his only real sight of goal but I think he did alright. He's never a target man but he runs the channels well and presses from the front very effectively.

No concerns at all about Leon. Missed a good chance yesterday as did villa which was a far easier goal scoring opportunity. Happens in every game.

If Clarke puts that header one foot to the left, we come away from Villa Park with 3 points after going 2 down. We’re also all shitting ourselves that Villa will sign him in a week.
