When Clarke burst forward yesterday, our players were like 'F**k we better catch him up' but more noticeable for me was when Choudhury collected the ball just in front of our defenders.
He seemed to be looking for runners, or at least someone moving into space to give him options, and ended up gesturing with his arms as if to say 'Why isn't anyone looking to help drive the attack forward?'
Now, we have come to understand why, because that's not really what we do, but my hope is that they drag us up, rather than us dragging them down!
I'm confident it will be the former and we will, at last, start to attack with pace rather than keep trying all the cutesy stuff that rarely comes off.
We can leave that until we're 3 or 4 nil up.

I think Clarke & Choudry have dragged us back not forward. Choudry is more negative than Butch Wilkins. Gilchrist has done little wrong all year. Until getting dropped we were hoping to sign him permanently.. Don't get me started on Cannon instead of Campbell yesterday.

No problem with him resting Campbell because he looked tired against Millwall. But if wilder chooses cannon over Moore to play a lone front man again he’s lost it even more than we thought he had.

3 things for the rest of the season that should give us a good chance in the playoffs

1. No more Robbo
2. No cannon unless in a 2 with Moore
3. No Brewster as a 10

The problem for cannon yesterday was that he was making lots of runs and had good movement but the likes of Hamer wanted to to take an extra touch or two instead of play the ball.

Exactly my thoughts. Robinson is a poor defender and a liability regarding discipline
Can needs to play in a two. Definitely not a lone striker

Yes but he's been on the bench last couple of game's but Clarke comes straight back in from nowhere

Exactly this. It’s almost like our creative players have never seen Cannon before. He was constantly on the move looking for balls in the channels but almost every time the player on the ball refused the pass and moved it sideways / backwards.

It really is a conundrum and hard to understand how and why we’re getting onto the pitch and this is happening. We look very disjointed as an attacking force, not helped at all by Gus having a very poor spell.

I think this lack of any attacking cohesion, the really poor general form of some key players and the soft underbelly of our central defence are undermining everyone’s confidence. A real challenge for Wilder to turn this around and grow some belief again.

I just wish for once we would slot a ball through down the middle, you see so many teams do it not just in the PL but we seem to want to push it out wide and cross it in. When we do put a ball over the top or through its hit that hard the receiver has no chance of getting it. Makes you wonder whether they practice attack and defend at all.

It was noticeable when Moore came on, they played it into his feet only to lose possession. Cannon was making intelligent runs to create space

Gus Hamer practically walked round the centre circle for 90 mins yesterday. Nothing like the player he can be. And he is key for us. That probably explains a lot. I thought he should have been dragged at half time.

KM hasn’t got any sort of rhythm since his operation, and hasn’t had chance to. Not sure what the answer is up top at the moment.

So hard to fathom, playing with an injury, just out form / confidence?

Doesn't matter who's up front when we try to create one chance, and then do literally nothing afterwards if it goes in.

We can't moan about Cannon, like we couldn't moan about Brewster..

No service, no goals, it's really as simple as that.

You can't tell Wilder what to do. He continued to play "F***ING Lundstram" for 6 months after he had downed tools during the Covid season. I expect he'll keep picking Robinson and Cannon for the rest of the season.

Do you wish Wilder listened to lineup suggestions from fans?
