Are you Chansiri?
There’s a big difference between the EFLs FFP which aims to protect clubs from going under due to the failed ambitions of their owners, and UEFAs which is about protectionism for the historic European Super clubs.
Ironically Wednesday would be in more favour of the UEFA model as they’d consider themselves as one of the traditional teams who should be protected and prioritised.

Is 6th a qualification place regardless now?
What do we need for 7th to be a qualifying place?
I think 7th is a Europa spot unless ...

1. Arsenal finish 8th but win FA cup. (They play Man City in the semi)

or

2. Wolves finish 8th but win the Europa league (They play Olympiacos for a place in the quarter final with the score at 1-1 from 1st leg).

or

3. Chelsea finish 5th but win Champions League (they’re 3-0 down to Bayern after 1st leg of semi).

If any of those happen, I think 6th is the last Europa spot.

Looks good to me. FA Cup final nailed on to be a Manchester derby and Chelsea and Wolves facing Brexit.

If chelsea, man utd or wolves are successful in their european competitions there will be 5 entered for the CL.

That will mean 2 places for EL. One will already be 6th (League cup) and the other potentially 7th (if Man u, Chelsea or City win the FA cup)

Although the full written judgement has not come out yet, it seems as though the main problem is the 5 year statute of limitations is the problem. By the time the smoking gun emails came out in 2018, 5 years had already passed since the initial fake sponsorship.

Not at all, the fine is pennies to them.
Poor old bury and wigan .victims of football hierarchy.man city should have been made to pay there debts off at the very least.like to know whose pockets man citys fine is going in

FFP is a piss weak way to try and level the playing field. We're too far gone for a salary cap because wages are so high that it would again only benefit teams who can afford to fulfill it, rugby league have had one for years but it's still only ever Leeds, Wigan or St Helens who win it.
Rumours have been doing the rounds for years about the creative ways teams have got around the salary cap issue. Player X wants £100k per year but they only have salary cap space for £50k, so that's what he gets paid. In a completely unrelated turn of events, the wife of Player X is offered part time work in the club shop on £50k per year.

True, but if Wolves win a European competition and finish 8th, the 5 who go into Champions League would be
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th from Premier League + Wolves.
The 2 Europa league spots would go to 5th in Premier league and then potentially 6th (not 7th) - if Man U, Chelsea or Man City win FA cup.

FFP at the highest level is bollocks, just get rid.
We’ve done Ok without it and talent with hard work can punch up against just money. Its in leagues that can’t sustain the overspend that checks and balances need to be in place because owners, and fans for that matter, can’t be trusted.

As for how this affects us, let’s just get into the competition on merit. Leicester are there for the taking if we play to the top of our abilities and then Southampton and Everton. We shouldn’t need a helping hand from a corrupt organisation, and if we fall just short we’ve still had one hell of a successful season.

Wolves will finish 6th or higher

Not only have the bastards taken back a European spot, but they have also been annoying shite when facing our European rivals, whilst beating us twice.

Chelsea took 3 points off them, Spurs 4 and both Man U and Wolves took 6.

Without their results we'd be 5th, 3 points of 4th.

Leicester 59
Chelsea 57
Blades 54
Man Utd 52
Wolves 49

And not one backhander. ☹

I have thought for a long time going back to when we were in the prem last time that there is something wrong with the way the prem is run.Right up to the top of footballs hierarchy as well as national authorities something smells. There as been a number of decisions that favour the big clubs at the expense of less fortunate clubs. The Blades often on the shitty end of dodgy decisions .It really makes you think about corruption when a big club gets a penalty against you because we were winning one nil because the defender THOUGHT about fouling one of their players.Never seen a penalty given before or after for that reason. After 9000 games of perfection Var and goal line tec along with the refs wrist monitor all fail together at the same time when we were playing another big club who were in the shit and at the same time making it harder for us to gain on a Europe place. Then there is the West Ham saga who were playing a player who did not belong to them who just happened to score the goals they needed to stay up and send us down. Then they won at Old Trafford on the last day when Man U fielded a side of unknowns. Now we have another dodgy decision that along with goal line tec failure could cost us millions.A decision that undermines our national football authorities right to police their own game and let others including our neighbours a right to flout the rules when ever they like at the expense of other law abiding clubs.

Cue a shitload of owners putting money into their other business, who then sponsor the bog rolls at the ground for a 9 figure annual sum.
FFP is like building half a dam.

Gotta love how all the city fans now going off like city were angels.

Just to be clear-found not guilty as not proven. Not found innocent. Add in that they got off mainly because of the time frame.

These also being the same people who were saying if Liverpool got the title if the season ended early if wouldn't be a proper win despite being so far ahead that even the most depressed scouser had to admit they'd won it.

Frankly, let them have their champs league next year. To me, it always will have that stench hanging over it.

Incidentally, why are the people who sit on these panels controlling football and sorting out sporting disputes all so fucking rich?
