Based on what McCarthy said about him as a player I'd certainly be interested. No fan gets excited about signing a 30 plus player unless they're a big name, which he isn't, but he is a decent player and could do a job for one season, maybe two, like what Craig Short did for us. Decent shout.

Very experienced, proven at Championship level and a leader. Still pretty much in his prime. Guys like him are definitely worth considering.

What we've got to consider is that playing in the middle of a 3 is different to playing in a 2. Many of these CBs most fans would dismiss as underwhelming or average would actually do a great job for us in that position. More mental responsibility, less physical responsibility. Playing there will make some CBs look like better players and also prolong their careers.
