Sorry if it's already been posted, apparently he is a favourite to become Bolton's new manager according to ITV news.

I'm all for it if it meant NA gets to stay, but Sunj reckons it's already been agreed for NA to leave once the seasons ends anyway.

If CW does leave Northampton, to Bolton or us then? You'd think it would likely be us with the Blade connection, and I'd like to say we are in a better state off the pitch compared to them but with how incompetent our board is I don't know what to think!

Whether NA leaves or not I think we can get better than CW.

OK., if NA leaves then, who is it you think would be better than Wilder? Seriously.

Didn't Sunj cover all his bases and say someone, at some point, somewhere, could be leaving by mutual consent.

Need someone with a real love for Bolton to save them, big Sam going back
their finances are on a par with Greece

they just owe a bit more

If a ex footballer leads a consortium you are in for a fall . Hope Wilder does go to Bolton , one less club to worry about next season .

Bolton could be the next Portsmouth.

As I've said in other threads, one good season in League Two does not make Wilder a great prospect. He'd be another complete change in direction and doesn't fit the criteria the board set out for the last manager.

But then he posted another about Wilder coming in and a DoF being appointed so if he comes on here at the end of the season trying to claim that he didn't mean Adkins then it would be pretty clear that he would be talking bollocks.

Phil Brown is going to Bolton and Chris Powell is going to Southend , I've got money on it do it must be true !
As ever UTB

No, I think people forget or don't realise what Micky Adams did in L2; two promotions for what were, at the time, car crash clubs before he went to Leicester (and another one after he'd left us).
Not just him either, there's plenty of managers who've done well at L2 level that don't succeed higher up, or take a while to get used to the standard.

What, in the relegation battle?

Why people automatically assume we will be challenging for promotion next season puzzles me, for the last two seasons now we will have finished over 20 points from top spot and I have seen and heard nothing on or off the pitch to make me think next year will be any different.

Some self proclaimed ITK on here. I want to say it was the guy called nopigfansaroundtown but I'm not really bothered enough to find out.

It wasn't me. Absolutely nothing in this link as far as I'm aware. People are bound to put two and two together given all the circumstances.

50 50 split on this one . Just because fans are talking about getting out of this division , the jury is definitely out on Adkins and it could be up or down.

Point you make is valid . Adkins has shown not a lot to pin the hopes on automatic . If we build a side around the so called pathway with our youth , it's a recipe for disaster and relegation.

It's down to McCabe and Adkins

Me I think we will make the play offs but would not put money on it.

That blade David from Bolton on RS talks sense and he is the barometer of a lot of fans . Unimpressed . Before people jump down me throat , I am all for Adkins , but the bloke could take us either way , especially without proper financial backing .

I'm still hoping that McCabe will use some of this legendary business nouse I'm told he had to help get us out of this mess.

But then I've been hoping for that since the 2007/2008 season.

As I said, I think we can and should be able to appoint a manager/head coach at least better than CW.

I am completely against NA leaving, but if it does happen then for starters I think we should stick to looking only at candidates who have had a promotion or more from this division, the more recent it was the better and there has got to be a few out there. I know we did this with NA and it hasn't worked out this season, but for the most part NA had his hands tied with the board not backing him enough and being left with all of Clough's bang average squad of 40 3rd division players.

We followed this trail of thought this season and look how that's turned out.
