About a quarter of a new pitch so far but a while left on his contract yet. He could get there!Fines are nothing compared to the £2 million on the new pitch.

Not familiar with any of these sources. Are they at all reliable?
He says the new and old owners spoke to him last summer? Not familiar with any of these sources. Are they at all reliable?
How many clubs have managers because they understand the club .This is everything thats wrong with our club and i hope the new owners move away from this nonsense.Hows about a manager with modern ideas that match the modern football that most teams try to play. We ended the season playing 442 ,Hoof to Keifer ballSome might also think Bryan Robson, Nigel Adkins, David Weir. Its fine swapping the manager but you still need someone who understands the club, its ethos its fans or its careful what you wish for.
A consistent part of Roygbiv view from was "they beat us without getting out of second gear". It came up a surprising amount which suggests we didn't actually have third gear, let alone 4th 5th or 6th. We just had Hamer. It was a great points tally and of course you can only play what's in front of you but...
Aside from Leeds and Burnley the league was pretty poor this season. We beat most of those teams without really playing well.
Just playing devil's advocate.
Definitely think I’d like to see us go down a DOF route. No to Russell Martin though, also a firm no to Gareth Southgate. His only other job at Boro saw them relegated. All depends on what the board are looking at for a new coach. There are loads of "free options" out there, then the question of will they fit in and wages. Do you bring in a football director, as crazy as it sounds Jürgen Klinsmann has done that for Hertha Berlin, USA national side and Toronto in the MLS, huge profile name with State side recognition, but doing that may limit who you can have as a head coach as you wouldn't want too many butting heads, you may opt for someone younger like former Southampton manager Russell Martin amongst others. I doubt we could convince Gareth Southgate out of retirement to the Lane and not sure how well that would go down if that was the option! But Managerial wise he has only been at 'Boro apart from his England set-up jobs.
Agreed on Gareth Southgate too and on Russell Martin, (he was the first young coach I could think of) but if we could attract a high profile name for DOF and then recruit an up and coming (could even be from abroad shock, gasps etc) head coach then could be onto a decent set-upDefinitely think I’d like to see us go down a DOF route. No to Russell Martin though, also a firm no to Gareth Southgate. His only other job at Boro saw them relegated.
Totally agree. We need to modernise the culture. I'm fed up of being told all we want is players that work hard and show passion.need a complete change in culture. We’ve been acting like it’s 2016 for too long now.
i loved the wilder of 2016 but im afraid im bored of wilder 2025 especially the tactics and strange team selections however its with sadness i have to say it seems the right time and new ideas at the laneneed a complete change in culture. We’ve been acting like it’s 2016 for too long now.
Fixed it for you.need a complete change in culture. We’ve been acting like it’s 1986 for too long now.

It is basically now or not for a number of years as, we either change the ethos of the club now with a small rebuild otherwise once the league gets even more competitive when the 3 up have come back down with parachute payments and if we don't do it next year, its a fire sale and would rather Wilder left on ok terms in the sense of well done however we set a target or promotion and unfortunately it wasn't done, although in theory it was down to that one game at Wembley it was also the countless others we didn't show up for, we were top for a bit too, got battered by Hull at home, lost to Plymouth, Millwall (at home), and Oxford away. Even other results across the season could have been better however there are 4 games that on paper should have been won and those 12 points see us up.Totally agree. We need to modernise the culture. I'm fed up of being told all we want is players that work hard and show passion.
I'm sorry but I want us to progress and capitalise on our potential.
There are other options than those two. If CW dies go, don't expect an English replacement. Think more continental Europe. There are plenty out there who can and would do a better job of motivating talent.Dyche for me over Cooper

I wouldn’t necessarily go for a big name for a DOF/sporting director, someone like Stuart Webber who were at Norwich would be a good shout. Their current Sporting Director is meant to be pretty decent (Ben Knapper) worked at arsenal previously. Manager wise I’m pretty firm on Cooper personally. Cooper, Blessin or Manning. Granted Manning acted a tit after our games. But he did really well to get Bristol in the play offs.Agreed on Gareth Southgate too and on Russell Martin, (he was the first young coach I could think of) but if we could attract a high profile name for DOF and then recruit an up and coming (could even be from abroad shock, gasps etc) head coach then could be onto a decent set-up
Cooper. ?He says the new and old owners spoke to him last summer?
Says the new owners have their head screwed on?
Tried to sack Wilder last summer. Parker was one they tried to get, won’t say the other.
Is he a journalist or something?
I just read something about Manning going to Norwich...I wouldn’t necessarily go for a big name for a DOF/sporting director, someone like Stuart Webber who were at Norwich would be a good shout. All good shouts! - I guess it depends how our board can sell the vision of the club to others. If you take a step back and look at the club over the last 20 years we have produced full England internationals with some still playing and Jags going on to captain England too and this is from a set-up that is by all accounts have sub par facilities in terms of infrastructure at the academy (granted this is being sorted) but someone with vision should see you have the opportunity to build and develop something special. Are we ever going to be a Liverpool or Man United - no chance however could we be a Brighton or Bournemouth absolutely by bringing in players for small fees developing and selling to reinvest they have established themselves currently in the top 10. If the right scenario would have happened Brighton would have ended up in Europe next season as it happens they missed out by 4 points. As a club we have potential if everyone is moving in the same direction but what we can't do is get the hump because some doesn't agree with something (board level/management)I wouldn’t necessarily go for a big name for a DOF/sporting director, someone like Stuart Webber who were at Norwich would be a good shout. None of that is ethos though , just how some owners choose to operate .To what though ?. If its to a hire em, fire em club at the first sign of trouble Where the manager has very little say in what going on and he's basically just a coach. We have one of them up the road. Their fans are fully on board with proceedings.
