In a shocking turn of events, Chris Wilder is bang on with literally everything he says.

That was absolutely typical United under Wilder. Go somewhere nobody gives us a prayer and bring home the points with us back to Sheffield.

Chris if you’re reading this, thank you mate. You’re amazing and I love you.

Premier League but we're still saving on the camera equipment it seems.

Get thisen a wind protector.

Charlie Nicholas' comments on Sky Sports really impressed me today. It's clearly only either the first, or second time he's watched us but he's expertly analysed our system & described it brilliantly. Proper punditry. Glowing in his praise of John Egan "as good a performance as I've seen in a long time from a player I hadn't already heard of..."

What I also like about Nicholas' praise is that he didn't churn out the easy & generic "they've got a lot of heart & their hardworking" bollocks. He can see what it is we're trying to do & can see why it works. Fair play. Click on the link & scroll down towards the bottom of the article, definitely worth a few minutes of your time.

Funniest bit is him looking at his notes so he doesn’t get the players names wrong.

I bet he doesn’t do that when he’s talking about Van Dijk and Salah next week!

Nicholas was superb in his summing up of how United tacticly got it spot on in the shape of the team, we just need to keep the ball better and more pundits will take notice as we will win a lot more games.

Most pundits I've seen agreed with him
Think maybe we should be a bit less uptight what the pundits say
I suppose most people were like me and wanted the adulation of our possession based play of last season but to a wider audience but we haven't set out that way ,in truth we probably would have been murdered playing that way
Hats off to the manager and players for adapting and making us competitive

Man's already a fucking legend

The trouble is the more this goes on the more England will want him

At least Southgate is doing a great job. I cant see him been sacked at any time soon and he seems to enjoy been in cgarge so I doubt he'll want to leave.

So I dont think we need tp worry there. At least, not for a long time.

Just watched it, Charlie Nicholas has clearly watched us before expressing his opinion based on what he’s seen, as opposed to Danny Mills, who based his opinion on what he’d learned from his old Panini stickers.

Luckily for us, Wilder is not a 'yes man' , so no matter how well he does for us, I don't think he fits the FA's criteria for England manager. They only go for people who'll do as they're told!

Thats why as a nation tge team has done virtually feck all since 66. Wheels come off as soon as we come up against a half decent footballing side. UTB

Excellent summary and like you say, he talks about the way we play rather than in cliches. What i liked about this is that he talks about what he's seen. I think that's all we ask.

When Garth Crooks opens his mouth perhaps he could talk about what he's seen or not. If he or Mills doesn't like us, that's fine, but just say that rather than try to bluf through the job

I've revised Garth Crooks script.
"Didn't see them, only seen Wilder collect the LMA award, never heard of him, didn't like his suit"
"As for his club, i don't like them either, but they've won so i guess that they're not a bad side"

Where is the upset in my post?

I said it’s funny, that means I find it funny.

I’ve posted on numerous occasions about how I don’t give a flying one about pundits doing us down, it’s inevitable as we are small fry.

Now chill out and don’t get upset about me not being upset.

Sheffield United's rise under Chris Wilder continues with victory at Everton
First time I’ve seen the interview with Lineker (got motd recorded) Tufty at his absolute brilliant best and it’s clear the media absolutely lurve him!

The pundits and existing Premier fans take the easy way out. We are superior to these three promoted teams and they will go down they say. Then along comes a result like at Everton. The easiest comments are about the fallibility of the losing team in this case The Toffee Men but the real pundit appreciates the style and play of the Blades.

You sound upset that he thought you were upset when you weren't upset ;)

I reckon Eddie Howe is next in line for that job anyway.

Not something that bothers me, it is what it is.

We're that little gem of a restaurant you find on holiday. Everyone else stays to the main part and predictably going to the big hitters. We're the one you have to put in an effort to find, unfashionable, understated decor, but the best meal you've ever had.

But people are starting to catch on, the word is getting out about how good the Chef is.....
