Everton 0-2 Sheff Utd: Brilliant Blades secure first Premier League away win of season
Sheffield United recorded their first away Premier League win of the season as they beat an abject Everton side 2-0 at Goodison Park.www.skysports.com
Charlie Nicholas' comments on Sky Sports really impressed me today. It's clearly only either the first, or second time he's watched us but he's expertly analysed our system & described it brilliantly. Proper punditry. Glowing in his praise of John Egan "as good a performance as I've seen in a long time from a player I hadn't already heard of..."
What I also like about Nicholas' praise is that he didn't churn out the easy & generic "they've got a lot of heart & their hardworking" bollocks. He can see what it is we're trying to do & can see why it works. Fair play. Click on the link & scroll down towards the bottom of the article, definitely worth a few minutes of your time.
Why get upset about that ?Funniest bit is him looking at his notes so he doesn’t get the players names wrong.
I bet he doesn’t do that when he’s talking about Van Dijk and Salah next week!
Most pundits I've seen agreed with himNicholas was superb in his summing up of how United tacticly got it spot on in the shape of the team, we just need to keep the ball better and more pundits will take notice as we will win a lot more games.
Man's already a fucking legend
The trouble is the more this goes on the more England will want him
Just watched it, Charlie Nicholas has clearly watched us before expressing his opinion based on what he’s seen, as opposed to Danny Mills, who based his opinion on what he’d learned from his old Panini stickers.![]()

Luckily for us, Wilder is not a 'yes man' , so no matter how well he does for us, I don't think he fits the FA's criteria for England manager. They only go for people who'll do as they're told!

Sheffield United's rise under Chris Wilder continues with victory at Everton
A first away win in the Premier League was "as poor as we've been", according to Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder - but the straight talking seems to be working.www.bbc.co.uk
You sound upset that he thought you were upset when you weren't upsetWhere is the upset in my post?
I said it’s funny, that means I find it funny.
I’ve posted on numerous occasions about how I don’t give a flying one about pundits doing us down, it’s inevitable as we are small fry.
Now chill out and don’t get upset about me not being upset.
At least Southgate is doing a great job. I cant see him been sacked at any time soon and he seems to enjoy been in cgarge so I doubt he'll want to leave.
So I dont think we need tp worry there. At least, not for a long time.

Were the hipster clubNot something that bothers me, it is what it is.
We're that little gem of a restaurant you find on holiday. Everyone else stays to the main part and predictably going to the big hitters. We're the one you have to put in an effort to find, unfashionable, understated decor, but the best meal you've ever had.
But people are starting to catch on, the word is getting out about how good the Chef is.....
