It's not the first time he has got a bit teary though.

Make your own assumptions but I believe that Wilder is saying his good byes and possibly wiping tears away

Hope I'm wrong though

He definitely seems to be wiping his face probably tears but I don't conclude that's the end. I genuinely don't think its being sorted either way yet and sadly we probably won't know for a week or two yet; crucially the Sunderland ownership is still not sorted but when they get ratification from the league we'll see how serious we are about keeping Chris because they'll surely make an approach.

Beating the badge doesn't strike me as someone saying his goodbyes

I thought that too but you can look at it that he wants us to realise - we know already - that he loves the club but that won't stop him going sadly if he decides his future is best elsewhere.

Is anyone still at Ashton Gate to run on the pitch and check if there is any trace of human tears on the grass where he was stood?

People will interpret any action based on their own bias.

We'll see in the coming days but to me it would be strange to show that 'pashun' if you're looking to get away.

Is there a reason to be teary at Bristol city away after the fate of our play off hopes were confirmed last game

Hard to say, it's the end of the season and perhaps he is feeling a bit disappointed with how it finished, or just a bit emotional at hearing 2000 Blades singing that they want him to stay? Or he could be on his way out and he was saying goodbye?

Personally I am not convinced he is close to the exit door just yet but I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

Put some timber on hasn't he? Presty have a word and get him amongst the runner blades this summer

Of course he’s going To have an onion in his eye after the fans sang we want you to stay. I just felt an onion myself

Your last comment is one that I think Wilder would disagree with - if he does leave. He seems to be putting this as I love the club but they're almost forcing him to look elsewhere because he's ambitious and can't stand sitting still. I don't think he wants to go for money or for greater budget at Sunderland. More that he is just frustrated and feels he can't do his job. If that continues much longer he'll go and probably - if interviewed - would say that he couldn't work under the present conditions. That kind of puts the responsibility of him leaving on the board rather than him. Sorry not trying to pick bones on your comment but that's my thoughts on it.

I don't agree with any of that but each to their own.

If CW is rooarin' in that clip, then so is Stearman....are they both going to Sunderland?

Don’t read too much into that, like me he’s just a tad upset that Leon didn’t bag his twentieth today... #lovingtheleon :)

UTB!

But he doesn't seem to be the sort who want his sweeties and wants them NOW.
We didn't really expect promotion this season (did we?) and I'm sure in all honesty neither did CW.
Ambition aside to go now seems a bit of an uncharacteristic flounce.
I'd imagine that he would at least wait to hear of whatever the new set-up is going to be.

I think that says...

He’s one of our own.
