Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder: "It's a great result for us. Put it into perspective, three years ago we were bottom of League One and now we have come away from Chelsea with a result.

"We gave away really poor goals. You can't give teams like Chelsea a two-goal start and think everthing is ok. Dean Henderson should have done better for the first goal but he's made a great save to keep us in it.

"I believe in the players more than they do sometimes, we've gone toe to toe with a really good side. I am biased but I believe we deserve something from today.

Agreed, could’ve easily got 4 points from today and Leicester had we started better in both.

But it’s been a decent start to the season and the signs are very encouraging.

I was at a pub in LA with 30 Chelsea supporters. I sang Greasy Chip Butty loudly at full time.

I did the same in NYC - loud and VERY proud. Even the (Canadian) Mrs who only takes some sort of interest cos it’s my life said “that was fantastic”

Luckily, don’t have to struggle for tix to home games as.... have had a season ticket ever since CW came in - figured something special might be starting. So the 2-3 games I come over for (Liverpool next), my seat’s secured. Away games though are a different issue... Trying to figure out how to get a ticket for Spurs away as am over that week

1st half yes we were average & that were outclassed probally a bit nervous but its not a pessimistic thing to say that there are 6 games that we can say we will probally lose anything is a nice bonus come what may. because if we were going stamford bridge expecting a point we challenging to be in top 4 not hoping for 15th. as they are europa league winners have enough quality that they could leave world cup winning forward on the bench. but it dejavu 3rd game i seen now like man Utd & Leicester where Chelsea played fantastic 1st half & then been quite poor 2nd half

what wilder said i dont know but it mustve been some churchillian HT speech. because 2-0 down away to chelsea is an incredible achievement. to get them to calm down, focus the early goal probally helped. every year he surpasses expectation 8th at the international break is beyond any expectations i had

Watched the game with a Leeds fan today and first half he was saying how shit we were and how much we sat off and just let them have the ball. I agreed, we weren’t great.

2nd half he was cheering for us and commenting on how well we took the game to Chelsea. The 2nd half performance was incredible. I said about 4 times in the game though that if Billy was on we’d have won 4-2

Interim report card:

A very good start, we should be wary of giving the opposition any help. In all 4 games we've had a shaky first half and a very strong performance in the second half. Can our opponents see an opportunity to exploit this?

Seriously, if you look at the start Liverpool have had, with no new players to bed in, we are doing OK at this stage of the season. Maybe exercise a little caution for the first 10-15 minutes, then cut loose and go for it, especially at home.

just rewatched it, we won the second half for sure. Played really well, and deserved a point. Norwood had a great 2nd half, which i didnt notice as much watching it live. oconnell made a coupe of great interceptions which made up for his mistake firsr half. If we can cut out our mistakes, these draws could have been wins. Imagine that! Stevens was brilliant 2nd half
