Ched scored again at the weekend, he's on nine league goals now. :-)

Yeah but no but maybe.

we have been so lucky with injuries, we have forgotten they can happen.

Well he has managed to stay relatively fit this season which has been his biggest problem since he returned to pro football.
He's scored a few goals as well which is encouraging for him, albeit it in a lower league.

I think it's unlikely that he will be a success for the blades again, but who knows?
The question remains, is he good enough for the championship? I'm not convinced at present, but I will leave it up to Wilder.

30 year old striker with 9 goals in League 1.

If we were linked with another player fitting that profile then the owners would be getting slammed.

Yet still a sizeable number of fans still want him back. It simply can't be for genuine footballing reasons.

A third of those goals have been penalties too...

Well done to him for getting to a level of fitness that’s enabled him to play more consistently than he has, but there’s some way to go before he can justifiably be in our squad again. He hasn’t torn that league up in the way that his most vociferous supporters suggested, and we’re continuing to aim towards getting in a higher calibre of striker. He’s nowhere near the levels Sharp and McGoldrick are presently at, and I wouldn’t remove Clarke or Washington off the bench to make room for him. Nor would Wilder, who’s said none of the loans will be recalled. It wouldn’t surprise me if he moves on in the summer – he’ll have one year left on his deal, and you’d imagine having had a taste of regular football at a place he’s starting that he’d want to keep that going next season.

The most likely outcome here is that he will see out this season at Fleetwood (as confirmed by CW) and will then be transferred somewhere in the summer.

It’s somewhat of a shame, but his time at UTD is ending !

Let's be honest, and I am pro Ched, but, he just isn't going to cut it at the level were at is he....
He's back playing football after a bad time in his life, he didn't deserve to be locked up in some people's eye, in others, well, there will always be haters.
If he hadn't been charged then we would've been in the prem that season, but we weren't and still aren't.
Yes we now need better than Ched, but he's had his chance to get back to scoring goals, he's playing again, and we shouldn't lose much money on him if/when he moves on.
He still gives us the option of winding folk up though, and I love him for that!!!

Doesn’t rhyme enough 4/10

I think it's over for him now.

But for that hideous injustice, he would've been a top end Championship striker at the very least.

Now I think he'll do well to be a top end L1 striker for the remainder of his career.

It's disappointing but could have been worse. At least he's playing regular professional football again, because at one point it looked like he'd struggle to get a club anywhere.

I didn't realise that O'Grady , Lavery and Stead were still our players ! Learn something new every day !!

Michael Browns still our player as well !! Wayheyyyyyyyy were bound to go up lets recall the lot !

And what’s more, despite the wages they steal, when was the last time any of those buggers were seen in our starting XI? Add in Jagielka, Bob Harris and the Kyle twats, and it’s hardly surprising the club runs at an annual loss.

Big Roll Prince OUT!

Yours senile(ly),

Outraged of S8.

If we struggle to get anyone in in January. I'd genuinely bring him back, as much as many won't to read that. He's found a bit of fitness, found a bit of form and our side are playing lovely football - I think even j could score in this side.

We're hardly blessed for options up top and if we don't recruit, we need all the numbers we can get.

He’s only ever had one injury free season. He was always in and out of the team at his peak with niggling injuries.

To be fair to him he played through a lot of those niggles last season so can’t question his attitude to play

True, but he is playing for Fleetwood. For a striker to tear it up in any league he needs quality service.

I've been trying to find a Fleetwood fans' forum to ask about his overall form but there doesn't seem to be one.

Well in the same team with the same service, Paddy Madden has 13. He shouldn’t be someone we’re viewing as an option to improve the squad either.

We would have been in the prem that season? He was sent down when we were in league 1. Would we have got promoted 2 divisions then?!!

Don’t think it’s possible that Ched can ever return to his best form in 2012. I still rate him as the most impressive striker I’ve seen at the Lane since Brian Deane and I still think he’s capable of being a top end league 1/ low end Championship standard striker. Read the Sunderland/ Fleetwood match review on the Sunderland forum and many of the Sunderland fans were impressed with Fleetwood and also impressed with Evans, said they can tell that he’s better than league 1 level.

The irony is if we were still in league1 or struggling in the Championship then I think he’s a valid consideration. However we’re now aiming for the PL and I don’t think even his biggest fan can argue that Ched could reach such a high standard.
Wish him well though and I still think he’ll do a decent job for another club at a decent level.

Obviously the final decision lays with Wilder and i’ll back whatever he decides, CW isn’t doing a bad job regards his judgement so far.

Yes, it was an experiment that the Football League were trialing, to get more families coming to games, based on the old TV show, "It's A Knockout", Kevin McCabe had played the Joker, so that meant double points to the Blades, OR jumping up two leagues, depending on how quickly Lee Williamson could climb over some inflatables that were covered in soapy water.

It fell out of favour when referee's unanimously refused to dress in over sized penguin costumes and Gary Sinclair said he felt uncomfortable shouting "here come the Belgians!", every time an opposing team made a break on our goal. *

It was a pen, they don't count apparantly

The desperation of us not to sign Madine was bound to bring this one back into the minds of all the Chedaholics. Thankfully I don’t think Wilder is as desperate as signing either of these two.

Ched is done with us, for those wanting him back go and have a cry wank to the YouTube clip of the goals he scored for us in League 1.

Why the fuck we signed him will be something that will come out in the autobiography of someone linked with the deal at some point in the future and shall remain a mystery until that point!

Dont know about anyone else but I'd rather have Ched back than Madine in.

Madine scored 10 goals in the Championship only last season. Evans has only scored as many once in his career in the Championship, back in 2007/08.

Madine, like him or not, is certainly more of a viable option for this league at this present time. Evans is not.

Looking at Madine’s record for the pigs you need to score many for them to be a ‘goal machine’ do you?
