Let's remember this is league one walsall. We aren't league one anymore. He'll have to do much more, to impress
 
Why do people keep thinking Evans will be a world beater in the championship....he wasn't before his mishap and he certainly won't be after......I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it....bit part player at best
 
Pleased he has had a positive impact. But this isn't away at Boro is it?

yes against a team from league......................................................................??????, ill hold on the celebrations still he stays fit and cuts it regularly at championship level

If he has a similar impact at Boro I'll admit I'm wrong.

I'll keep my powder dry until he does it against full strength championship opposition.

One things for sure he's better than Hanson.

nope try reading some of my other positive posts, but this is one thing i have too many doubts on, sounds like he did well tonight, good on him, but im certainly not going to get excited yet
 
Happy we have won, and very happy for Ched, however still a long way to go for him yet. Hope he makes the first team sometime this season.
 
To be fair, the team were going nowhere until his introduction. Once him and Bash were on the pitch, there was much more about United in all ways going forwards. No, Walsall aren't world class, but they were proving too much for the reserve side we started with tonight.

Nah, Cheds just a tramp who can't keep it in his trousers. Hanson is an oaf. Neither are cunts. Unlike yourself.
 
Give the lad a chance ffs.

All it is is 'he's not up to it, never will be' or conversely 'he's set one up against Tinpot Town, eat my shit doubters'

Can't say I'm overly optimistic he'll be reliable fitness wise and able to make a notable contribution over the season, but can't we all be patient and see how it pans out.
 
Might be a league one team but It's still the team that beat our first team last season.

Had brooks had that impact we would all be slapping a 50 mill price tag on him and shouting for him to play against boro.

Not finished but a step in the right direction.
 
The hysteria on both sides is so tiring. He came on tonight and contributed (no goals, technically). What frustrates me the most is the extremes of cheering him more than any other player, saying he's been 'brilliant' and all this other over the top madness.

Don't take it away from him tonight, the game changed when he came on and that's great. Why aren't people posting threads saying how fantastic Nathan Thomas is and voting him MOM?

Whether Evans turns out good or not, I am not looking forward to the journey where half of the fans will overhype every little thing he does, and the other half will condemn any mistake or lacklustre performance he has. Can we please just treat him like any other player? No. We can't. That's why I dislike the fact he has re-signed for us!
