Oliver is a decent ref, what a relief Foy has been suspended because he's shite - we already know this but good the authorities have spotted it.

It was Oliver who allowed that late Wednesday equaliser at Bramall Lane when 3 players went up to assault Simonsen who ducked it of course. Still a foul IMO and 99% of refs would have given it. The ball trickled to the line and crept in off a post with a lumbering, wrong-footed MacDonald failing to reach it. Nightmare.

My brother had a chat with Michael Oliver recently, my bro mentioned he was a Blade and Oliver said the Steel City Derby at the Lane a few years back (Ched season, 2-2) was the best atmosphere he has ever experienced. That was a noon kick off too!
