It's been a good JTW with no outgoings to our strong squad. Being greedy i would have loved another CM to play alongside Norwood. A few that have moved on deadline day..

Nathanial Chalobah to WBA
Josh Onomah to PNE
Lewis O'Brien to Blackburn???
Ben Pearson to Stoke
 
Feel a bit like Tiny Tim looking in the window of other clubs or Oliver going up to ask for "more" meself. 🥺
 
Nearly every team has been busy.

I think it could be to our advantage really as all these clubs will have to hope their new players gel well with their current players and not cause disruption.

We don't have that problem, so we can press ahead on the promotion train. No time taken away to show the new boy(s) the ropes and getting them upto speed with the clubs aspirations, formations etc etc.

Lewis O'Brien is they only one of those that would have suited our formation/style.....but it seems Blackburn have been using our old fax machine ;) .
 
It's not turned out as badly as I thought it might

OBrien to Blackburn and Pearson to Stoke are two bonuses, as neither club are threats to us, but they'll hopefully take points off our rivals, and we've already played Stoke twice. F**k knows how they got over 15m for Harry Souttar btw - wow

Watford and especially Boro have strengthened, WBA less than expected, and Norwich pretty quiet but that Marquinhos from arsenal could be anything

Burnley obviously strengthened but that doesn't matter, apart from for our game at turf mooer
 
With Burnley’s additions I think they’ll be home & dry soon , them aside & I see Norwich & Boro as our biggest threat , Norwich have a strong squad anyway so poss didn’t need to recruit & it looks like Wagner has took the shackles off and appear to be scoring for fun of recent , more surprising as if anything he was the opposite in his time at Huddersfield . Boro under Carrick have quietly gone about there business picking up results & recruited wisely
As we all know a big 10 games coming up but the oweness is on them to catch us.
 
Boro had a good window but they will have been praying for us to shoot ourselves in the foot and flog the silver yesterday.

Their task has not become any easier.

Why will they ? They have shown nothing recently. In the last 6 matches we have moved away from all of them I think.
Just because they have added players does not mean they will suddenly be much better. We have added in the past !!!!!!!
 



Did not know that Westerlo player was £11m for Burnley, a lot for someone who could be surplus come August.
A lot of these deals have flooded the decks with quantity not quality however

It puts the pressure on even more for Middlesbrough with us playing before them and getting a win like last week and hopefully on Saturday.
Must be hard knowing that even winning your game will just maintain the 12 point gap there was before the game week began.

I'm fairly sure he was signed with a view to playing in the PL. He's by far the most expensive signing this season. (Most reports have him at €10m, including add-ons, though the add-ons are rumoured to depend on promotion this season so are hopefully going to be needed!

Big faith in him! Good to see the net cast wider, stats look great so hopefully it pays off
