Looking forward to a stunning, against the odds, climb into the playoffs. To then lose the final to 9 man Millwall.

TBF they have 25 points from the last 13 games, so they have been a very solid playoff team for nearly a 1/3rd of the season.

The problem they have is that giving everyone a 10 point start is going to make it almost impossible.

As we showed on Saturday, we can beat anyone, but then on Wednesday we showed we can turn up and be very average. Last week demonstrated that crazy refereeing can steal a few points off you.

I predict a 10th place finish I'm afraid.

Think this season has been quite weird because I really think this years team is potentially better than last years team.
It’s certainly playing much better, more entertaining football.
The recent home games against Stoke, Birmingham and Leicester were so one-sided it was shocking. It was like drawing a lower league side in the cup.

For a while now I’ve thought we are capable of going on a run of winning 7 or 8 out of 10 matches.
However we’re getting to that point where we need to start doing it…..instead of talking about it,

In fairness to Wilder……just as it’s looks like we’ve cracked it….then something bad happens regards injuries and red cards.

I’d say regards play-off I’d give us a 50% chance but we do need to go on a 7 or 8 wins out of 10 run at some stage this season.
The key is the away form…..we look really confident at home but away we’ve not looked comfortable for 90 minutes in any away match this season.

Get a draw at Millwall on Saturday, we then have 2 home games (Oxford and Boro) before playing Portsmouth and Pigs.

If we play like we did Saturday, we could easily win 4 on the bounce after Millwall, which takes us up to Coventry at Home.

I think the playoffs are next to impossible. However, we have to believe. 1 because it remains possible so why not try, and 2 because if we give up however the players perform doesn’t really matter if they’re not playing under pressure. Can't believe people are still harbouring play-off hopes. Let's make sure we don't get relegated first shall we? Our current form in last six games has been win one, lose one. If we carry on that kind of form for the rest of the season we should get just over the 60 point mark which would put somewhere in midtable. After the disastrous start we had, I'd be happy enough with that, especially if we can produce a few more performances like the Leicester and Ipswich games and maybe stuff the pigs 6-0 for good measure.
It's not as if we've got a decent track record in the play-offs and does anyone genuinely think we'd be ready for another season in the Premier League? No thanks.

Based on more than 70 years following United, I would suggest taking the Carpe Diem theme a little bit further than you did. Whilst the players and management need to do a lot of preparation for the future, those of us watching the games benefit from focusing on the good things match by match. Saturday’s game had just about everything: goals, controversy, great creative play, howlers, brilliant goalkeeping saves, commitment. Whether this changes the season, who knows? In my favourite 10 seasons of Blades-watching, I would include seasons in all 4 divisions. Promotion is always terrific, relegation always terrible, but many of the best memories come from individual games. The 90 plus minutes last Saturday were totally absorbing - that was Carpe Diem, enjoy those moments. Make sure to enjoy such good moments in life, because as we Blades know, there is often an unpleasant surprise round the corner.
