Why wont it ,we are completely the opposite to a Warnock style team and as for your first comment ,that is such a simplified myopic view of football. His presence will give more opportunities to other players ,its not about who scores the goals. If he gets 1 in 4 which is what he has done in this league and the others continue to score at the rate they can then we will do just fine.

If he plays alongside billy we lose McGoldrick. Sharp most likely isn’t going to score more than he already is, and our midfield arnt likely to score more.we actually lose goals.

We don’t need a non goal scorer ( although I understand there is times where you can) we need someone to bang em in themselves.

I’m not saying we play like Warnock sides, I’m saying in theory he should still suit them with his they play than how we do. We will have to change to accommodate him.

Really against this signing but he’s here now. Just hoping he does a job for us and while he’s wearing the shirt I’ll not boo him but will not be singing his name either if he scores for us.

There was a video of his goals on Twitter last night. Very few goals came from the ball being pumped long. They came from cross or him running on to through balls. Exactly what we do.

And as you say even if he's not the one to put the ball in the box, just some of the runs he makes will open up space for billy et al.
