I think it was a very close thing last season re going bust. The transfer embargo was not the mark of a club with healthy finances. So we are going out of business, I think not.
When you talk of clowns, look no further than S6 where spending more than their income, resulted in near bankruptcy and 24 years (so far) of meandering the second/third divisions.
Take a balanced philosophical view, rather than your 'my club should be top six and in Europe' view.
While you are thinking of it as your club, why not shell out £2/3 hundred million and take us where you think we 'belong'.
Thought not, someone else should provide that funding ( it's investment though !!!! is it bollocks).
Trouble is Championship teams tend to lose money.
The attendance looks to be about right. It’ll be him and Brian the Blade, who’ll be the brains of the organisation, at which point you know the protest is in trouble.
Would love to be there but i've promised i'd polish my nannan.
Playing the Bladey Blade card now. Having been going to The Lane since 1966, I will say that the last 6 years with the Prince (including this one) have been more enjoyable than probably 50 of the previous 58. Maybe this just proves I'm an old cunt, but maybe it proves that now is really a pretty good time to be a Blade?
Is it April 1stIt's become obvious that the Prince has no real desire to sell at a reasonable or fair price, and whilever he remains at the club its clear things will go from bad to worse.
It seems appropriate now that as fans we make a stand and peacefully protest against his continued ownership. We will demand that he drops his price and goes ASAP.
Ideally being on TV that brings our plight into the limelight and alerts some potential new owners of our situation
If nothing else is achieved it will cause the Prince huge embarrassment which he thoroughly deserves.
We've given him an incredibly easy ride so far, this easy ride can't continue any longer.
Hopefully see some of you in the car park Saturday 4.30pm.

Yep. Used to be the co-presenter on the BladesPod podcast ...Isn’t 1 of there stats man - recruiting - scouts not sure which one a Blade as well , Luton’s not ours
NotedAnyone attending, please use a clean bedsheet for your message, preferably without hinges.
YesKept the cost of tickets down too unlike owners of other clubs not too far away.
Can I film it ?Excellent choice. I will be starching one of the maids.
Sometimes it's a fine line between crossing over into protest and accepting there's little that can change due to circumstance. Our fans of today haven't got a protest in them, they're pathetic. They'd have to end up in Division Four before even a small number would think "Hey, this isn't right", and anything they did would be tut tutted down by the wokey mob.
Edit: This doesn't mean I think anyone should protest by the way, I think we have reached our ceiling under the current ownership and he couldn't really have done any more. It's not his fault he's not a trillionaire, it's not even his fault he ended up with sole custody of the club.
Was thinking this - imagine half your Board being either under police investigations or being hunted by Interpol !!More like a spoilt young attention seeker.
For us in our 50’s I don’t think people realise we’ve never had it as good and been as ambitious as we are now.
Everything is better.
The stadium, training ground, fan base/ average crowds, our ambition, our status as a club.
Don’t think we’ll ever be taken over by an ambitious owner because our fan lack ambition. Shefifieders in general, prefer cheapness over quality and we want things for nothing, hence no outsider will invest.

If Ndiyae had got injured last season and in turn we stayed down, I dread to think of the financial situation we'd have faced.
The Prince would have a lot fewer fanboys I am sure.
A while ago now but didn't he engineer sole custody of the club? Our fans of today haven't got a protest in them, they're pathetic. They'd have to end up in Division Four before even a small number would think "Hey, this isn't right", and anything they did would be tut tutted down by the wokey mob.

May well have done but I seem to recall the Prince was then pretty cute in how he turned the tables to obtain control.
I think you’ll find, in l’m sure you in fact know, that McCabe began the legal battle with his £5m l’ll buy you out or you buy me out offer.

Yeah, just chopped mi hockey stick up for firewood.
I've been watching since 1971 and believe me he's the best owner we have had in that time, name me a better one?
Am the same, am a committed Blade from 1970. Thinking of past protests, they have made things worse for the club.Playing the Bladey Blade card now. Don't go bang-ing on about it and get all crispy....Whilst you are all going on and on have you not heard the price of sausages and bacon are going up?
Discuss.
Have you been drinking ?More like a spoilt young attention seeker.

And Brian the Blade with his.Me & my sandwich board.
We were supposed to built the South Stand in one year but it took us 2 years and we had to sell one of our star players , Geoff Salmons, because of the rising costs in building the South Stand. When it was completed we had a poor season winning only 2 games until April. After relegation, we didnt return to the top division for another 14 seasons!Certain owners get no praise for the significant things they accomplished.
Thats not to say they were total heroes, but to the owner who built the South Stand.. thanks! To the owner who built the new John Street . Thanks! To the owner who filled in the corners of the stadium.. thanks!
