So we are going out of business, I think not.

When you talk of clowns, look no further than S6 where spending more than their income, resulted in near bankruptcy and 24 years (so far) of meandering the second/third divisions.

Take a balanced philosophical view, rather than your 'my club should be top six and in Europe' view.

While you are thinking of it as your club, why not shell out £2/3 hundred million and take us where you think we 'belong'.

Thought not, someone else should provide that funding ( it's investment though !!!! is it bollocks).
I think it was a very close thing last season re going bust. The transfer embargo was not the mark of a club with healthy finances.
If Ndiyae had got injured last season and in turn we stayed down, I dread to think of the financial situation we'd have faced.
The Prince would have a lot fewer fanboys I am sure.

Trouble is Championship teams tend to lose money.

Indeed. I do think that central to any buyers motivations for the club will be a very quick return to the PL followed by becoming established there. No one is coming in for more of the same Yo-Yoing. Sounds obvious but if a buyer is really going to make it work, there HAS to be real, genuine planning, financing and contingency's. We're where we are right now is because we're being run by someone that's rich by L1 standards, can tread water in the Champ but drowns in a teaspoon of PL waters. I appreciate I'm not saying anything here that you don't know, but it feels like there are some that just want HRH out because.... reasons, regardless of who comes in.

Whilst you are all going on and on have you not heard the price of sausages and bacon are going up?
Discuss.

Playing the Bladey Blade card now. Having been going to The Lane since 1966, I will say that the last 6 years with the Prince (including this one) have been more enjoyable than probably 50 of the previous 58. Maybe this just proves I'm an old cunt, but maybe it proves that now is really a pretty good time to be a Blade?

Kept the cost of tickets down too unlike owners of other clubs not too far away.

Our fans of today haven't got a protest in them, they're pathetic. They'd have to end up in Division Four before even a small number would think "Hey, this isn't right", and anything they did would be tut tutted down by the wokey mob.

Edit: This doesn't mean I think anyone should protest by the way, I think we have reached our ceiling under the current ownership and he couldn't really have done any more. It's not his fault he's not a trillionaire, it's not even his fault he ended up with sole custody of the club.

It's become obvious that the Prince has no real desire to sell at a reasonable or fair price, and whilever he remains at the club its clear things will go from bad to worse.

It seems appropriate now that as fans we make a stand and peacefully protest against his continued ownership. We will demand that he drops his price and goes ASAP.

Ideally being on TV that brings our plight into the limelight and alerts some potential new owners of our situation

If nothing else is achieved it will cause the Prince huge embarrassment which he thoroughly deserves.

We've given him an incredibly easy ride so far, this easy ride can't continue any longer.

Hopefully see some of you in the car park Saturday 4.30pm.

Is it April 1st🥴

Isn’t 1 of there stats man - recruiting - scouts not sure which one a Blade as well , Luton’s not ours
Yep. Used to be the co-presenter on the BladesPod podcast ...

Fucking playstation manager fans, getting into football and knowing more than the old timers....

No problem with a protest . Let them get on with it. My position is always going to be that the man/woman at the top is responsible for everything. That's why they get the big bucks. I recently had a row with my Building Soc about something. I wasn't happy with their reply so wrote to the Chief Exec. He delegated it to someone- job sorted.
The buck stops with someone - at the moment its the Prince of Darkness.

Sometimes it's a fine line between crossing over into protest and accepting there's little that can change due to circumstance.

Personally I'm not against protest where I think it's necessary or can affect change, but at present I'm not sure what it will achieve.

Despite the owner supposedly trying to sell the club, I understand why some fans are wondering what's happening and being concerned about the future. I didn't expect much being spent this season and fully expected relegation. Therefore, whilst I'm not enjoying the season and feel a bit flat attending most games, I'm not angry or particularly frustrated as I don't see us as under-achieving.

Neither do I want the owner to spend what we haven't got and put us in a real mess.

The proof will be in the pudding come August, whether we have the means to build a serious Championship squad to challenge.

In the meantime, a bit more communication from the owner might not go amiss even if it's not much, just an update on the current situation and our plans for the coming 6 months. I know plenty don't care about stuff like this, but it's clear plenty do. We're all different and I get that some like bits through the vlogs and podcasts but I'd prefer direct communication and ideally with fans where it's not all pre-prepared.

Anyway, just like the sudden sway with Hecky losing support after the Bournemouth and Burnley games, it will become obvious when the majority feel that it's the time to protest. In the meantime, there will always be minorities who kick off early and others who will support the club in almost anything they do.

More like a spoilt young attention seeker.

For us in our 50’s I don’t think people realise we’ve never had it as good and been as ambitious as we are now.

Everything is better.
The stadium, training ground, fan base/ average crowds, our ambition, our status as a club.

Don’t think we’ll ever be taken over by an ambitious owner because our fan lack ambition. Shefifieders in general, prefer cheapness over quality and we want things for nothing, hence no outsider will invest.
Was thinking this - imagine half your Board being either under police investigations or being hunted by Interpol !!

Why were we close to going bust, whatever you mean by that? Is it because a handful of knowfuckalls like to type “admin”.

Let’s have a sensible answer.

A while ago now but didn't he engineer sole custody of the club?

:)

I think you’ll find, in l’m sure you in fact know, that McCabe began the legal battle with his £5m l’ll buy you out or you buy me out offer.
May well have done but I seem to recall the Prince was then pretty cute in how he turned the tables to obtain control.

Give over. You suggested he engineered it. Hardly the same as turning the tables.

What do you get from shit like this?

I've been watching since 1971 and believe me he's the best owner we have had in that time, name me a better one?

Am the same, am a committed Blade from 1970. Thinking of past protests, they have made things worse for the club.

Be careful who you wish for.

Have you been drinking ?

Certain owners get no praise for the significant things they accomplished.

Thats not to say they were total heroes, but to the owner who built the South Stand.. thanks! To the owner who built the new John Street . Thanks! To the owner who filled in the corners of the stadium.. thanks!

At least those guys built something that has had long term use over decades. What long lasting legacy will the Prince leave (if he ever manages to find the exit)?

We were supposed to built the South Stand in one year but it took us 2 years and we had to sell one of our star players , Geoff Salmons, because of the rising costs in building the South Stand. When it was completed we had a poor season winning only 2 games until April. After relegation, we didnt return to the top division for another 14 seasons!

the most important thing that he or for that matter any owner has done is to buy the clubs ground back for the club, the previous owner who had built the corner stands one of which is not appropriate to be called a stand managed to hive off the ground for his own purposes and still owns part of it.

no bigger blade than me, Bollox !!
be careful what you wish for
