Personally I thought he put himself about a bit . Combined moments of skill with a desire to put himself about a bit . Harried their defence and goal keeper with tireless pursuit .

He set up Freeman for our third .

Managed to force an error from their defence for the second albeit from a misdirected cross .

He missed a great chance to score in the first half .

And he gave Bury their only goal

The jury's still out for me . Bring Done back for better opponents .

Didn't go today but did hear the words "Lavery, beats his man" a satisfying number of times on the radio. Wilder said he'd done very well and rightly pointed out the little bit of inexperience in giving the ball away in a dangerous area of the pitch for their goal.

From what I saw today, I'd give it (the partnership) a run of a few games to gel. Clarke-Sharp hasn't worked especially well, Done-Sharp has but Done doesn't score and Lavery showed a Done-esque workrate today, with potential to be better.

Shame he has similar goal scoring instincts!! But he gets them on target at least

Was brilliant after his mistake for their first today. Never stops running and he's very tricky when he gets the ball.

He did quite well but can do better. Needs to brush up his control a bit.

Definitely more of a threat than Done and has more ability.

Also works hard, runs the channels and challenges well in the air.

Seems naturally fit - now he's fully fit.

Looks like the best partner for Sharp, as expected.

His mistake for their goal probably backs up that he's a striker and nothing else, not a left winger where we thought he might be used when we signed him.

The least Lavery deserves is a few games like Clarke has had, and for me he's already miles ahead of Clarke in the pecking order anyway and he can only get better.

If we had meaningless cup games or friendlies to by played I might agree. He'd be behind 3 other current (and hopefully one soon to be signed) players who deserve the chance for me.

Despite his error when he gave the ball away and they scored, he was MOM for me. As has been said, he set up two goals.

He's quick, has really quick feet, so he's tricky and in the first half was legged over just outside the box and he will get penalties.

He also worked hard throughout and even into extra time was closing down defenders and the keeper and the game was one by then.

I'd give him more starts, I think he offers more than Done.

He said that he'd watched Lavery come through and could not believe the way that he had been treated. His take was that with the right approach we've got a real gem on our hands. Young and raw, but skilful and when confident scores goals that others dream of. He saw Lavery as the future.

I've no problem with either Done or Lavery but he deserves the chance to form a partnership with Sharp. They showed more understanding today in the second half alone than Clarke/Sharp has all season

Funnily enough, that's what the 'better opponents' think as well. They love playing against non-striking strikers who runaround a lot, giving the impression of activity to gullible observers but, in truth, achieving very little.

Lavery was very positive for me. He drives forward, runs at/past defenders and also pops shots off.

He assisted the last two goals too. I thought he played very well indeed.

Lavery now hopefully fully fit will fulfill Wilders obvious belief in him. You don't sign a guy,give him the number 9 shirt and when he's up to speed not start him. That would be almost as stupid as playing McNulty who hopefully has been told not to unpack and leave his car engine running as he is out the door ASAP as part ex for a footballer not a piss artist. There will be loads of room on the booster seat for Reedy,or as Pinchy has christened him Little Louis.
Carruthers is a brave signing,could turn into an absolute Cody or bomb. My money is on the former with Wilder to mentor him. At 23 it's the perfect time for him to make his mark. I struggle to comprehend what Madkins was thinking when he thought Hammond was the answer.
Wilder is Klopp to the last 5 managers Utter Wankers.

It was and it wasn't in truth.
Looks more of a threat than Done, is more skilful and seems slightly quicker. Twice he was clean through and failed to score. First was a good save but really ought to have scored and second went to wide and opportunity was lost.
But he did setup the third goal with a good run and is definitely a decent option. Probably will be Billy's new partner unless someone else is signed for a few games now at least.
He is definitely a good option on the bench though, as he showed last week and deserves a chance to start a few games.

Very mobile, pulls out wide a lot (creating space for Billy like Done does). but inklings of a partnership too, with a bit of decent interplay on occasions. Positive, direct, and willing to run at players at times. And able to make the ball stick and hold on to it.

Looked really promising I thought. Basham MOM, but Lavery wasn't far off.

Went to Bury and thought Lavery did ok yesterday.

Worked hard - put's himself about all over the pitch - chased back in the 2nd half, caught the full back to great applause from the fans. Seems to be getting fitter, both physical and match fit. His left knee was strapped up though, so not sure if he is carrying something.

Control was poor for Bury's goal - he needs to show more strength when so close to our goal - he cannot lose the ball in those positions and it was Lavery that committed the foul at Charlton for their equaliser. Not entirely his fault yesterday though as I thought JOC backed off Mellis far too much. Sorry JOC, you can't do that - learn from it.

It was Lavery that crossed for the own goal, set up again by a great run by Freeman (he is challenging Borbokis for our best wing back).

Good strength for Freemans goal though. Whilst Freeman probably won't get player of the season, I reckon Freeman is shading most improved player at the club - just in front of Coutts. His "sniffing" for the 3rd goal was of the highest standard - reckon Edwards would have been proud of that one as he got across and in front of the lad covering.

Some of us don't think Sharp and Clarke works, even though CW says it does. There were definite signs that Sharp and Lavery has potential to get better. Lavery seems a busy type of player, seems flexible as well - which is in the mold of the entire team.

One thing that was apparent to me - we are a much better team with Duffy/Coutts in the side. Appreciate it was the type of game to give them a rest and to a degree we got of jail a bit. Our dominance of games comes from our movement off the ball - it really is a joy to watch and Lavery adds to that movement.

Once again - lovely day out in the end.
