Can't see us winning again this season

Fucks sake, get some perspective. We have been punching well above our weight all season....that was a £500m plus team of internationals against a team worth a tenth of that, half of which were in League 1 a couple of years ago.
I think probably about £420-430 million but I take your point

First two we were bad and this game we started to show gkimmersnof what we can be. After two goals that we could have maybe avoided heads dropped as we weren't gping to catch them.
Doesnt mean we wont win again. If cw or the team had the same mentality we'd still benin L1.
Team and some fans need to get a grip.
Large improvements needed no doubt.

Two things that piss me off.

"Get some perspective, we were a L1 side not long ago"

"We have been puching above our weight"

Neither mean fuck all today and fuck all for the future. We have earned the right to be a tad bermused/upset by the last 3 performances by setting such high standards this season and not by being a cheeky little old former L1 side strking a few lucky blows.

Exactly we are in the here and now. Wilder just said although it is nice to know that other teams would kill to be where we are it doesn't change the fact that these problems need sorting out.

Might piss you off but they are both FACT!

You are right though, we have got to 44 points on merit, not luck and yes the last 3 performances have left us all scratching our heads as to why we look a shadow of our pre-lockdown selves, CW's post match interview pretty much alluded to that. We look shattered, sloppy and shell-shocked.......it's difficult to see where the next goal is coming from let alone win.

Can we just keep a bit of perspective people... league match 31 of our season 3 years ago was away at Peterborough United FFS... this team have performed miracles... support them, through good and bad!!!
I called out the bedwetting the other night. Same goes now.

However, I didn't want this season to end but now I can't wait for it to finish. Which is sad really. None of us knew how this break would affect teams and players. Now we do. Ours have had a game face on as they haven't got a scooby.

Admire your optimism my friend

Optimism? - perhaps.

We've come a long way in a short space of time and it's a sobering moment for the club and fans but as in any walk of life you either roll up your sleeves and get on with it or pull up the white flag.

The FA Cup can be a distraction for a Premier league club in the earlier rounds, but we're safe in the league, so having a go in the cup at theis sage of the competition is a no brainer.

The daft thing is, as we saw with Huddersfield in the play offs a few years ago - they didn't win a single game, drew three and won 2 penalty shoot outs. We can do the same in the cup. Would prefer to win, but you don't have to.

Have watched Arsenal and they're in a similar position to us - not playing well.

CW just has to get the players mojo back in the next 3 days - it's what he is PAID to do - I expect him to work something out - our fans need a lift.

So - back to optimism - not really - I would hope lots of our fans, over the past 4 years have moved from glass half empty to glass half full and realise the that we are now different to the past - it's time to prove it and to start by reaching the semis.

You can support and still criticise a series of bad performances. We haven’t been at the races, people are expressing their opinions on that. If we start next season like we’ve started since the break we’re in for a long season. They need to improve and get back to the levels we have seen them perform to.

Agree 100% - I see you missed adding "hard" after long and season.

The danger signs have been all too apparent in the past 3 games and doubts will creep in to players and fans if we don't start to pick it up again.

The FA Cup provides that opportunity.

3 away games
lost our best CD
Then lost our next best CD
All this after a long lay off

Sunday's game has now become even bigger. Whilst it is was just about getting through to the semis, it's now become as much about the performance, and the fact that we are playing another team who are flaky as fuck, increase the pressure. We really cannot let this Arsenal team roll us over like we have been recently.

As much as I would love us to progress, I would accept us going out to a narrow defeat, provided we play like our old selves, score a goal and can then use this to improve performance in the league. If we can string a couple of wins together, 5th could be back on.

We look way out of our depth

That for me a bit too far. We actually beat Villa except for the continuing incompetence of where the top level finds itself with tech and stupid pig headed officialdom. We were comfortable against Newcastle until Egan tried to play football with a looping ball with a player on his back. Stupid, stupid decision. There's a time and place and that was't the time and place - he should have just steered it away instead of trying to control it. Egan, in the moment was a football idiot but in a season where he had been magnificent. That decision cost us the match - Newcastle weren't good - they took advantage very of the 10 men situation after been gifted the first goal. We have in the past been brilliant when playing with 10 - CW should have altered it immediately.

For sure Man United made us look 3rd rate - but then OGS has now got them playing how he wants - they should be top 4 next season.

one very big problem is a very small group of players up to this standard. and at the moment we have to many out for one reason or another. but be honest these 3 matches away from home not much chance of a win thats three matches on the trot away from home one point but should have been three we know who,s to blame for that but very quiet on that front. VAR courses more problems than its worth anyhow now this is out of the way we will improve

First game in more familiar surroundings,
Reality check, getting written off instead of talked up....Blades 2 Gunners 0

Pathetic performance, money needs to be spent as our back ups are terrible
Money has been spent , including half the summer budget on Berge in January. Where do you think the money's coming from , especially as the Club has to buy the ground next month ?

5th ? That's stretching it , Stretch !

It's a long shot mate, and doesn't look likely but stranger things have happened.

Still have to play Spurs and Wolves, so if Sheffield Not that bothered fuck off and Sheffield United turn up soon enough it's still on.

Hope we stopped off at an off license on the way back from Old Trafford...

If there is one team I actually would fancy us against when we are low on confidence, it's Arsenal.
