I don’t think there's hate. It's just blatantly clear that Cannon doesn't do the bare minimum you'd expect from a Sheffield United player... put effort it and run your bollocks off.

I made this point a few weeks ago and he hasn't changed. If you get a start or the last 20, or even the last 5. Run, run, run... if something isn't happening or rhe ball isn't coming your way... MAKE IT HAPPEN. Force errors, put a tackle in, jump for a ball you know you're not winning just to put the defender off.

He does nothing. Ever. An absolute waste of a shirt in the team when he's on the pitch. He needs to go somewhere where he can swan around for 60 mins and someone feeds him the ball. Wilders football isn't like that. You've got to work.

I hated Jack Robinson representing this club. A thick thug who showed us as much respect as we showed him.

I dislike Tom Cannon because of his lack of effort, and I hate the fact he plays for this football club. Different ball game.

I don’t have an issue with the £10m price tag (as such) because others were in for him around that price, so must have thought it was reasonable valuation - although I can’t see it.

My problem with the £10m is that it seemed to be the reason we didn’t bring in a decent defender, which we were crying out for… and in my opinion, cost us promotion.

I won’t get into slagging him off, but it clearly isn’t working for either party, so hope he is moved on in January.

Is there a competition on this board to make the worst post about Cannon? Honestly, I find it ridiculous. Was Ings any better last night, or Ogbene? But as usual there's a race to slag this guy off. It's like bullying in the school yard.

Whether we like it or not, he's a United player bought and selected by Wilder, who's going to continue to use him.

Whatever is going on with the guy, he was rated enough to be worth £10M at one point, and I am sure he will be again. Sadly I doubt it will be with us because of our own fans determination to write him off.

Having said that, I sincerely hope that in real life you’re not responsible for managing anyone in whatever job it is you do, because you would be absolutely shit at it, much worse than Cannon is as a footballer.

Fortunately, judging from your posting history on here, I can’t imagine for a moment that anyone with an ounce of intelligence would give you that responsibility, so that’s ok.

Exactly the above for those that say Wilder didn't buy him can I throw back this - Why didn't Wilder stomp around grumbling with the mardy's ( like he does) about the priority to use a budget to identify a defender of quality - he surely knew we didn't have enough when losing Souter- Wilder bought Cannon Wilder wanted Cannon - Wilder thought JLT and a bloke whose not played grown up football for 2 years was enough the rest ain't worth discussing.

He may well go over the top, he does in fact, but what exactly are Cannons strengths? The only time he has any evidence there’s a sprint in him is when he thinks he has a clear run ( even then his decision making is, let’s say questionable, Tuesday, he went through the motions yet again when supposedly chasing balls.

He’s looking like a complete flop sadly. Even if people don’t want to overly criticise him, surely his continued selection should have anyone asking why. One has shown far more, where is he?
