I supported the Brewster purchase even at £20 million plus as we were desperate for a goalscorer at the time. But those involved should have drawn the right conclusions about his injury record. It's injury proneness rather than lack of ability that has hampered his career. But Brewster was given more support and time than Cannon I think who cost a lot less. I think is worth £10 million in today's market. I don't think Brewster will command a transfer fee ever again. Cannon will never be the main striker, the number 9 but he plays well off a lead striker. We never played to his strengths before. Glad to see him finding the net as I always thought he would come good given the right support/system.
